Lawnscaping FIT August Blog Hop

It is the end of August!!  OH. MY. WORD!  That is craziness isn't it!?  Hello, everyone!  Welcome to another blog hop featuring the Lawnscaping Facebook Inspiration Team aka the FIT team :)

This hop is sponsored by the fabulous Spectrum Noir!!

You should have found your way to me by the uber talented Isha!  I am sure she had something fabulous to feast your eyes on!

For my card - I went a simple route.  I was thinking ombre all the way!

This month we are inspired by Warm Grays and Pinks - so I took a few of the warm gray markers and colored from lightest to darkest on my white card stock.  This is pretty much a one layer card minus my sentiment :)  After getting the grays down I took the Chevron Backdrop stamp set and stamped the thicker of the chevron stamps in Memento Luxe Pigment inks in Rose Bud, Love Letter and Lilac Posies.  For something "extra" to my chevrons I just added a stitched detail with my Memento Tuxedo Black marker.  For my sentiment I stamped the 'Thinking of You' speech bubble from Chit Chat, and inked that up in the Lilac Posies and Love Letter inks again, and then die cut it out using the coordinating die and of course it screamed " I need shimmer" so I used my clear Wink of Stella to do just that!  To finish off the card I rounded the corners with my We R Memory Keepers Corner Chomper with the 3/8" setting.

It wouldn't take no time at all to whip up a few of these to keep on hand :)  Well, its time for me to send you off on the next stop...my girl Lenny!  Be sure to leave comment love along the way for a chance to win some of these awesome Spectrum Noir Markers!!

See you soon!

PPP Cutting Edge Blog Hop

OK - so I am doing a little catching up on my crafting!  This is the first full day I have had the chance to dedicate to crafting in 3 weeks!  I've missed it...
So, I wanted to participate in the PPP Cutting Edge Blog Hop.  I also did a video on how I made this card coming soon to my blog - once it goes live I will add it to this post.
I recently purchased the Stitched Film Strip Die - it was a die I really didn't have in my die collection - so many possibilities with this cute die.

For my card I inked up a couple of Stamps of Life stamp sets that I had that hasn't seen ink yet - Popcorn2stamp and TV2stamp.  These cute stamps also have coordinating dies to match!  You know me...love those coordinating dies!  I inked up the popcorn bag in Memento Luxe Love Letter, and the 'POP' sentiment in MFT Black Licorice and Memento Dandelion inks.  I die cut a few pieces of True Black CS from PTI from the Stitched Film Strip Die, because I didn't know exactly how my design would turn out.  So - that is when I used the 'News Flash' sentiment and stamped it 3 times within the die cut and then added my popcorn and popcorn bag.  I think it turned out pretty cute.  I also used one of the die cuts inside of my card as well!

Thanks so much for stopping by my blog!!  And, once the video for this card goes live I will share it as well!! Also, thank you to Paulina and her line up of sponsors for the chance to show off our creations during this blog hop!!

You Crack Me Up! + video

Hello all! TGIF!! Today, I wanted to share with you a card I made yesterday using the new Mama Elephant set Just Hatched.  This is an adorable set!!  I was debating back and forth on whether to get it, and I am so glad I did.  I didn't purchase the dies this time, but I will find my self eventually buying them.

I also did a video making this card over at my YouTube channel - and so I thought I would share that with you too!

Have a GREAT weekend!

LSC # 74 Inspired By

Welcome to a new challenge over at Lawnscaping!  For the next two weeks - we are going to be inspired by other designers on the Lawnscaping Design Team.  I won't lie - I had a *really* hard time choosing just one designer to use my inspiration from - but I did it.

I chose this *CUTE* card by Elena!  I liked how you used a "image" as letters :)  So - here is what I took away from this inspiration.

This is a simple design, but has a fun feel to it.  I used one of my favorite alpha sets by Lawn Fawn - Quinn's ABC's.  I die cut letters to spell out my sentiment - minus the two "O's" for Lookin' - as you can see I used a pair of glasses from the adorable set "Clear to See" by Lawn Fawn.  I stamped my glasses in Espresso Truffle Luxe Ink because I used glitter to emboss over it - and since these inks are a pigment ink - it is a great ink to use for this.  Then, I just adhered my letters down onto my "bokah" pattern paper from Lawn Fawn's Peace Love Joy 6x6 pad.  The letters are also die cut using papers from the same pad.  Then, I adhered the green peace onto a piece of kraft card stock, and then I popped up that whole panel onto my white card base which is Bazzill Marshmallow card stock.  To finish it off - I used Wink of Stella to add just a slight shimmer to the rest of the letters.

I can't wait to see who has inspired YOU!!  Our awesome sponsor is the fantastic Lawn Fawn!  If that is not inspiration enough - I don't know what is!  * SMILE*

See you soon!

LSC #71 Tags or Treat Bags

Welcome back to yet another Lawnscaping Challenge.  We only have two challenges left in the year 2013!!  That is craziness!  Since everyone is gearing up for the holiday season - which by the way is craziness too!! - we are focusing on those tags or treat bags you will be using this holiday season!!

Here is my bag that I created.

I started out with a plain canvas bag.  I wanted to "doll up" up my canvas bag - so I decided to stamp on it.  This is a lot of fun if you have never done this.  I chose two stamp sets - Let it Snow and Interlocking Backdrops.  I used all pigment inks - Colorbox Cranberry, Memento Luxe Pear Tart, and Hero Arts Silver.  I stamped first the chevron pattern in the Cranberry ink, and then I stamped the trees in Pear Tart and Silver inks.  Then, I stamped my sentiment from the Let it snow set in the Cranberry ink.  I wanted some "snow" so I took my Liquid Applique in white and dotted on randomly on the bag, and then heat set it to make it puff up a little.  And, that's it! Super easy, super fast!!  These bags are fun to stamp on!

I hope you are able to join us for this fun challenge!!  Simon Says Stamp is our fun sponsor!!!  Someone will win a $25 dollar gift certificate to SSS - will that someone be YOU!! :)

See you soon!

Thank you So Much using Memento Luxe Inks

Hi everyone!  Hope you are having a great week so far!! Today, I am back to share with you another card I made JUST for the fun of crafting!  I get so caught up in doing just DT work that I forget to post projects that I make just for the love of this fun hobby!

I created this card for my Director at work.  We've had some tough times at the hospital where I work, and she did a nice thing for my dept. in recognition of our hard work and dedication.  So - I wanted to make a Thank you card for us to sign to show our appreciation of her nice gesture.  I used SSS stamp set Flower Friend, and stamped the flowers in some of the newest colors that I have picked up of the Memento Luxe Inks.
I am usually not one that goes to pigment inks that much other than white because they take longer to dry - and I am an inpatient stamper :)  But, something about these particular ones just make you want to gravitate towards them.  It is probably their vivid colors!!  So much fun!
Something else that I am gravitating towards a lot lately in my card making process is the Femme Frames Dies from Mama Elephant!  I love, love, love these dies!  You see them both used here - the scalloped frame, and the stitched frame.  They are perfection for cards!

Hope you will come back to join me tomorrow for another card share!

See you soon!
