Ink Storage

I've posted a video on You Tube on how I store my various inks.  I hope this will inspire any of you that need a new way to help store your inks - or seeing the containers I use to store any of your craft items.  :)

If you are not a subscriber to my channel - I would be thrilled if would!!  Any questions or comments, I will be happy to answer.  "See" you soon!!

CAS-ual Friday Challenge 41: Jest for the Pun of it.

What a beautiful Sunday afternoon it has turned out to be.  I wanted to share with all of you my entry for this week's CFC - Jest for the Pun of it.  Make a clean a simple card, with a "punny" sentiment.  This time I chose two different stamp sets from Hampton Art- owls, and woodland animals 1 .  I love this cute lil owl, and the sentiment that goes with it.  Who doesn't love owls?!  I stamped my owl on a piece of PTI white card stock, and stamped the same owl onto patterned paper from My Minds Eye 6 x 6 paper pad, A Happy Heart, and paper- pieced the owl onto my white card base.   I am becoming a paper fanatic for  6 x 6 paper pads - especially My Minds Eye. I finished off my card with some patterned paper stitched together, and some stickles for a bit of pop.

A cute little simple card this week.  Well, I'd better get busy doing other things around the house before the weekend ends :)  I will be back soon to share another project with all of you :)

Stamping with Acrylic Paint

It feels so good to slowly getting back into the groove!!  It feels very satisfying for sure!!  Today, I wanted to share with you a card I just finished making " on the fly".  I have several different supplies that I have not even cracked open yet, and I am wanting to try some different things that I intended to do all along.  One of those things was try stamping with acrylic paints.  I had bought some time last year on clearance at Michaels some Adirondack Acrylic Paints, and I initially bought them, because I knew it would be a great thing to have to cover chipboard.  So - this afternoon - I opened up these paints for the first time, and used them on my Flourish Background stamp from Hero Arts.  It is one of my favorite BG stamps!!

The colors I used are Sunshine Yellow, Red Pepper, and Sunset Orange.  I also used my new package of " Glubers" from Cosmo Cricket.  I wanted to use up some ribbon scraps, so I made a flower, and "blinged" it up with some stick pins.  My sentiment comes from Lawn Fawn - ( have I mentioned I LOVE Lawn Fawn)  :o).  In fact this card I am entering into the LawnScaping Challenge - Distressing.

Thanks for stopping by -
See you all soon!!

Helllloooo...

I haven't been feeling very crafty lately as I have explained in my last few posts, but as I am slowly trying to get my act together, I wanted to pop in today and share a card I've made in the past that I don't believe I've shared with you.  If I have, I apologize.  I have been feeling under the weather, or also known as BLAH today, but wanted to get this post in.

This card I made for a friend of mine.  I was just "playing" around with different shaped cards.  Trying something different from the standard A2 size card.

No stamps were used on this card.  I just used up some of my stickers, and chipboard elements I had that I hadn't used yet.    The pom-pom trim is from Stampin' Up.  I also punched out a little butterfly from my Martha Stewart punches.

Are you all excited about all the new CHA products coming out?  What is the products you are most anxious to get your hands on??  ME??  It would be the new Lawn Fawn stamps, and Distress Markers.  It won't be long now!!!

Have a good night!!!

Crafter's Block/Rambling on..

Hi everyone.  I'm just checking in.  I wanted pop in and say HI! and Happy Valentine's Day a day late to everyone.  I am feeling torn right now - the reason for this is because I have crafter's block.  I know we all get it at some point or another, but it has been happening a lot lately for me.  I have so many new goodies that I want to play with, but I haven't had the dedicated time I would like to have to create with my goodies because of various reasons.  During the week it is nearly impossible for me to craft, and on the weekends - My hubby and I try and do things we normally wouldn't be able to during the week - for instance the past weekend, we painted our bedroom ( partly anyway).  I helped him prepare for this project, but he did 95 % of the work, bless his heart, and I tended to other things around the house.  Weekends should be 3 days, not two.  There is so much more I could go on and on about, but I want to keep my followers, and not run them off :)

Seriously though - I pray that I can get things going again craft wise.  There are SO many new products coming out that I want - but I need to find the time to play with them!!  I have also been brainstorming.  This is on the other side of my lack of time spectrum.  If you follow me regularly - you know I want to be able to craft full time and make an income doing it - AKA " do what you LOVE to do for a living".  SO- I want to be able to come up with a video series, or post a tutorial on a weekly basis.  I think about doing this all the time - but there again I get stuck in my ruts.  So - if anyone has any feedback as to what they would like to see - even a "name" for a weekly basis series, something like Kristina Werner's Make a Card Monday, or Friday Focus.  Keep in mind - I am not trying to copy her - I just would like to do something similar like what she does.  My idea is to present a new video every Sat. - **  So - please post suggestions on what would sound good with Saturday**  I would LOVE to hear from my audience :)  It would tickle me so much.

So let me hear from you!!!  Thanks from the bottom of my heart for those of you that follow me and stay with me even though I am sparse with my posts!!  It means a lot to me!!

Stay Calm and continue to craft :)

SuperBowl Sunday/Card Share

Happy Superbowl Sunday my fellow crafters and readers.  If you are into football, then today is the biggest game of them all.  I like football, but I am a bigger baseball fan - STL Cardinals fan for life!  Anyhoo, most of us watch of course the game, but it is a big day for commercials too!  That sounds funny when you put it like that, but its true.  So - we will see what a 1 min. spot for millions of dollars will bring to the TV this year.   **grin**. Also - today is a day where I am taking a "vacation" off of my "diet" of eating healthier.  I am eating a supreme pizza, I am SO looking forward to it!

In other news::  Today I am sharing with you a card I "whipped up" for the FlutterBy Wednesday challenge.  It has been a while since I made a card for this challenge.  With Valentines Day coming up, I used that as some inspiration for my creation on this card.  It is a fairly simple card.

For the butterflies, I used two of my Martha Stewart punches, the Monarch Butterfly Punch, and the 3 in 1 Butterfly punch.  The paper I used on my card base comes from My Minds Eye, Blink of an Eye 6 x 6 pad, and the glitter paper comes from Stampin' Up!  I used a piece of Kraft card stock from PTI ( Paper Trey Ink) and the cute sentiment comes from a  mini stamp set from Inkadinkado.  Here are additional closeups of the butterflies.

Have a nice afternoon!!!!

Masked Butterfly

Good Saturday Afternoon I know I have been MIA for the last week or so, but I've been super busy with work, and LIFE in general. Not enough time in the day for everything I'd like. Today I wanted to share with all of you a couple of cards I made featuring a masked technique. I actually can not take credit for the original design of this. I saw this on from StampwithTami on You Tube. Here is the link
As you can see, I did change up mine a bit by cutting out my butterfly and adhering it to a black scalloped circle. I added some gems to add a bit of bling, but certainly the butterfly image could stand on its own. :)
