Washi Tape Shaker Card using Simon Says Products

Hi all!!  I am back to share a shaker card tutorial with you.  I wanted to use up some of my over flowing supply of washi tape, and I had this idea in my head for some specific roles of washi tape I had in my stash.  I love how bright colors look against black - so I wanted to do something like that for the main panel of my shaker card.

I had several colors of thin washi tape, so I chose 5 different bright colors, and I adhered strips of them in a diagonal pattern onto a piece of black card stock.  Once I was finished with adhering the washi tape, I die cut the panel using the stitched Rectangle die from the Femme Frames Die set from Mama Elephant.  Then, I chose to use the Big Hugs Die from Simon Says Stamp, and I die cut in the middle of my panel.  Then I die cut a piece of Island Blue card stock for the back of my shaker panel, and also make my card base from the same card stock.  I die cut a piece of acetate from Studio Calico using the same stitched rectangle die, and adhered that directly to the back on my panel, and then adhered foam adhesive from Scotch around my die cut sentiment, and then chose different colors from the Simon Says Stamp Shaker Shack beads set to use as the contents of my shaker.

Once I was happy with how much of the beads were added, I placed my island blue panel on the back, and then adhered my shaker panel to my card base using Tombow Extreme Adhesive.  This will ensure that the shaker panel won't come off.

I have a video ( of course) on how this one came together!!  If you are interested in the products I've used, I have them linked below!  Thanks for stopping by!!
