You're Pretty Amazing! ( video tutorial)
Hi everyone!! Today's card I wanted to dive into the over run collection I have of washi tape! I have a lot of rolls of this stuff, and sadly I don't use it nearly enough as I should, so I wanted to break some out and make a colorful card with it! I love to link to the exact rolls I used, but I bought these at Michael's - they are the Recollection brand, but you can use what ever patterns, and colors you have on hand for this very card!
Of course too, I couldn't avoid using my oh so loved Femme Frames from Mama Elephant. Maybe that should be a crafty challenge within itself for me...I should try to make a card WITHOUT using these frames!! HAHA!
Anyhoo! - I have the below on just how I made this card! I hope you enjoy! And, if you are not yet subscribed to my YouTube Channel, I invite you to to subscribe! Anytime that I upload a new video, you will know as soon as it publishes!

Happy Birthday! ( washi tape edition)
Hello, friends! Hope your weekend is off to a great start!! I'll be completely honest and say that mine is so far not bad - but I haven't done too much today. I got up on some of my TV shows this morning, and this afternoon, I'm in my craft room wanting to be creative with my plethora of supplies :)
I wanted to pop in today to share this birthday card I just finished up!
I wanted to pop in today to share this birthday card I just finished up!
Like a lot of us crafters - we have a pretty good selection of that stuff called washi tape! I have plenty to use and don't any more to add to what I have - so I wanted to pick a few random patterns and colors that went well together - as you can see I came up with a teal, black silver combo. I recently bought some glitter washi tape from Freckled Fawn, and wanted to use it on this card! In fact, it was the one roll I grabbed and added on from there. So- I created my washi panel, and then I die cut two frames - one from Mama Elephant's Femme Frames, and the other from Simon Says Stamp Postage Edge Frame Dies.
I used "an oldy but goody" stamp set from The Stamps of Life called standup4sentiments. I love this set - simply because its different, and you need sentiments that stamp in this orientation. I stamped and heat embossed it with Hero Arts white embossing powder. I adhered everything together, and placed it on my Coastal Cabana card base.
Thanks for taking the time to stop by!! I plan on being back tomorrow with a card tutorial! I am going to try and make card tutorials for you every Sunday! We will see how that works out! Stay tuned!!

Today - we are celebrating Kelly Marie's birthday - I am so delighted and honored to be apart of this wonderful group to help celebrate such a happy day!!!! You should have reached me by the way of the awesome and super sweet Lenny!!
Kelly Marie - here is my card for you! I sure hope you like it!!
It seems all the cards I've been making lately, I have to incorporate this awesome teal blue color!! I am obsessed! I believe one of the prettiest color combos is this blue and red together! I started out by die cutting the right side edge of the card base with the new Simon Says Stamp A2 Card Curved Edge Die, and also did the same with the pattern paper from the awesome new "Into The Woods" collection from LF. I then die cut some stars in my pattern paper using the LF "Star Stackables Dies". Then, I wanted to add some "glam" to the card ( after all - it is a birthday card!!) - and thought adding gold embossing would be the perfect touch - so I stamped the "bursts" images from the "Happy 4th" set using Versa Mark Ink and heat embossed with gold embossing powder. I did the same with the "Happy Birthday" greeting from "So Much To Say". I added some cute red star washi tape towards the bottom of the card. I love this washi tape because the stars are transparent and you can see the pattern paper through it.
To add dimension to the card - I popped up the middle star die cut, and then I added some wood veneer stars - one in the middle of my cluster of stars and then in the middle of the "bursts". I heated embossed one of the stars in gold - and then added some Christmas Red Stickles to the other three stars to round out the red in the color.
Next up to wish you a Happy Birthday Kelly Marie is super sweet and talented Tracy ( another teamie from the Lawnscaping FB Inspiration Team) with her awesome creation!! If you get lost along the way - you can just head back to the beginning over at Tiffany's blog, and it will get you going in the right direction again.
Kelly Marie - I hope this blog hop puts a huge smile on your face! You do so much for so many! You deserve such a happy day - YOUR day!! Happy, Happy Birthday!!!

Thinking Of You Today
Good Sunday to you all! Hope everyone's weekend has been a good one! Today, I wanted to get a little crafty time in, and pulled out some supplies that I don't use often, but still love! I have THIS Sizzix and Hero Arts Stamp and Die set that I think is the prettiest out of all of these sets ( IMO) - and wanted to break it out as I don't use it often enough.
I also don't use my Copics all that often. I am not a big person on coloring, but I do like to do it every now and then. I stamped the biggest butterfly and flower images of the set with Memento Tuxedo Black ink, and colored the images using RV34, RV19, BG13, BG15, YG63, and G05. Then, I used the coordinating Sizzix dies and die cut the images ( which is the most fun part for me!). I, then cut down a piece of Hawaiian Shores from PTI, and scored and folded to a standard A2 size card. I, then pulled out some wood grain patterned washi I had that is about the same color and added to my card base to give a bit of interest and pattern to my card. My sentiment also comes from the PTI set We Go Together. To finish off the card - I just added some glitter using my Wink Of Stella pen.
Here is a closer look at the glitter goodness -
Enjoy the rest of your weekend!!

FAN-tastic!
OK - I know I have been a little quiet on the blog...a post here...and post there....but you know how it is....Important thing is...I have another card to share....and it isn't for a challenge!!! Can you believe it?!?!
Sometimes, you just gotta PLAY...and that is what I've been doing for a little bit this Friday evening. So - for this card I am playing with one of the new stamp sets from Sweet Stamp Shop called "Spin Me". I got it mainly for the fan image in this set. I think overall this is an adorable set, and there are many ideas that you could get creating with it.

I'll tell ya...I am obsessed....I am obsessed with this "pool" blue color lately. It has made its way in the last 4 or 5 card I've made! Not only that, but it was the nail color I had on ( before I changed it today), its my new phone cover, its in decor I have at work...everywhere...its a lovely color, and I thought it went so lovely in the card and design!
This stamp set, and this color - FAN-FREAKIN- TASTIC! :)
Have a great weekend!!

Simon Says Stamp Challenge
Hi everyone! Happy Memorial Day!! I hope all the men and women and their families know how much we are blessed by their sacrifice everyday of their service for our freedom!! God Bless all of you!!
Today, I am popping in quickly to share with you my entry for the latest SSS Challenge. I actually had to work today ( half a day) and while at work, I had this idea that popped into my head for this challenge, and when I came home and after relaxing a bit, I put this card together!

I love Neon, and I really hadn't played with a stamp set that I own from Amy Tangerine called "Love Struck". It's a bit of an older one, but I knew that this little camera was the perfect size for how I wanted to stamp on my card panel. So - I stamped it out in five of the Neon Inks from HA, and then added some fun film strip washi across the card panel. Then, my sentiment comes from Mama Elephant from a set called "Smitten". Fun, huh?!
Hope your long weekend was a happy one! See you back here soon!!

May AEI♥U Challenge
It is getting late this evening, but I have been having fun most of the day being creative and crafty. My favorite past time! ( other than watching STL baseball of course). So, one of the cards I made is for the latest Avery Elle Challenge.
OK - I didn't know WHAT I was going to do when I started making this card. That is probably why it takes me such a long time to create one card most of the time, because I don't do sketches before hand or anything, I just wing it! I knew I wanted to use my Avery Elle set All Squared Up, but from there, I had no other direction.
Here is the inspiration photo....

And here is what I came up with.....
I stamped onto a piece of white card stock the circle image from this set in five different Hero Arts Shadow Inks - Mint Julep, Tide Pool, Pool, Cornflower, and Navy. I overlapped all of the circles, and then I took some Navy washi tape, and a bubble aqua patterned washi and adhered it down the middle of the circles. Then, I took the Navy stamped circle and cut out the middle with a craft knife, and then punched it out with 1 3/4 in. circle punch and popped it up on foam adhesive turning it the opposite direction and placed it in the middle of the circle row. I, then stamped the "Thinking of you" sentiment in Navy, and to represent the boat being tied up, I stamped a "friend" sentiment that goes with my jewelry tag punch from SU! and added that to my middle circle for a fun element. I adhered that panel to a Navy panel that I embossed with an embossing folder called "Fancy Fan" and adhered that to my white card base.
I like how this turned out. I think all the time it took for me to do this from start to finish was worth it for this fun design.
I hope your weekend is a relaxing one, and you are able to do something that makes you smile.
See you soon :)

PDCC Challenge #178
Kari here with you again - sorry I've been a little bit silent on my blog, but I am back this afternoon to share with you my submission for the latest PDC Challenge. I just love these colors in this challenge. So bright and cheery, and it made me want to play along!
For my card, I broke out THIS set from The Stamps of Life. I really hadn't used it yet, and I've had it for a while. I thought it would be fun to play with it on this challenge. I stamped my crayons in Dandelion Memento Ink, Gray Flannel Memento Ink, and Neon Pink Hero Arts Ink, and I used this set from Paper Smooches, and this set from Mama Elephant to create my sentiment that I stamped using Tuxedo Black ink. I found some pattern paper from this 6x6 pad to create my notebook paper, and used this punch by EK Success. I also was able to use some of my new washi from Freckled Fawn. I added my stamped panel to gray card base and to finish it off I rounded the corners, and added a cute little paperclip to my notebook page. Cute. Simple. Hope you like it!!
See you soon!

PDCC #173- Color Splash
Happy Sunday! Today is St. Paddy's Day which is a day a day filled with green, but today I am playing with The Play Date Cafe this week that is about a splash of CORAL. I received some new goodies from Simon Says Stamp, and wanted to play with them, and thought this would be a good opportunity to "break" them in :)
I used one of SSS's new Spring Releases called Circle Friends along with the coordinating die. I used some PTI white card stock - and inked up my polka dot stamp first in Versa Fine Onyx Black ink and stamped that on my card base, then inked it up in Hero Arts Pale Tomato, and stamped that also on my card base and then added my sentiment in Versa Fine Onyx Black Ink. Then I took my die and die cut my white card panel, and added some foam adhesive to pop it up on my card base. I added some washi tape and a button to bring everything together. This set is so fun to play with, and the die makes it easy to pull it all together.
Thanks for stopping by today!! See you right back here soon!

CFC#93 Color Block
*This is my second post today* Scroll down if you are here to see the LSC post*
SUCH a long time since I have played along with the CAS-ual Friday Challenge. This challenge looked interesting to me since I LOVE color - its all about creating a clean and simple card featuring a color block. This gave me a fun chance to play with my new PTI "HELLO" die from their latest release. I thought it would be fun to use some of my EVER growing washi collection too!

I picked out some solid washi tape colors which coincidentally is also the colors for the PlayDate Cafe Challenge for this week - so I am also entering this card into that challenge also. So - I put down my washi tape on a piece of white card stock that I had in my scrap pile, and die cut my "hello" sentiment. I adhered it to my white cardbase, and added some gems that went well with my washi tape colors. I had a section of the color blocked washi left and I thought it would be fun to adhere it to the top left of my card to round out everything.
Hope everyone has a nice rest of the weekend!! See you back here on the blog soon!

LSC # 51 Be My Valentine
Hi crafters! I needed to get in some crafty time this Wednesday evening!! What a better way to spend it than to make and submit my next card for the latest Lawnscaping Challenge. As we all know - Valentines Day is right around the corner! There were so many ideas flowing in my head on how I should go about making my card for this week's challenge. But, like last week - I am continuing with my "simple" method! This card I will probably give to my hubby for Valentine's Day.
This card is simple and gets the point across! ( and its not too girly!! - haha) I started out stamping the heart sentiment from Many Thanks from Lawn Fawn, but I altered it a bit. Instead of inking the "thank you" part of the sentiment, I opted that out, and added " I love you" from Love 'N Breakfast, also from Lawn Fawn. I "fussy" cut my heart out, and then worked on the base of the card. I used some pattern paper from the new My Mind's Eye - Lucky in Love 6x6 pad. I, then added some aqua wood grain washi tape to frame out the pattern paper. I used Sally's ABC's to add "Simply" to my card base to be apart of my sentiment. To finish the card off I added some Lawn Fawn trimmings in the red and white.
I hope my hubby likes it!
Thank you for stopping in to look at my card!! See you back here soon!

Washi Birthday Card
Happy Sat! I wanted to pop in quickly and share with you a birthday card I made recently. I am trying to use up all of the washi tape that I have ( which - lets face it, will probably never happen). I am willing to give it a good try though. I made this card for my boss at work. She loves the color purple, and roses and wanted to incorporate both if possible.
Thanks for stopping by today - I will be back next week with my card for the next Lawnscaping Challenge.
I used a Hero Arts long note card, and gathered up 5 different washi tape designs and added them to my ivory card stock panel at a diagonal. Once I added the washi tape, I embossed the panel with a embossing folder from Lifestyles Crafts in a 2 embossing folder pack from a recent haul. My sentiment comes from one of my favorite Lawn Fawn sets - "Grand Greetings" and stamped that in VersaFine black ink. To finish the card off - I used some lavender bakers twine from my stash, and a few gems stones.
Thanks for stopping by today - I will be back next week with my card for the next Lawnscaping Challenge.

LSC #49 - Happy Birthday, Lawnscaping!
Happy New Year Everyone! I haven't posted since Christmas - so I thought I would wish everyone a happy and healthy 2013!! It is time for another post for my favorite challenge blog, Lawnscaping. It is time to party!! Lawnscaping is celebrating two years - which is awesome! I hope they have many more birthdays!!
I broke out my "Bake Me a Cake" LF set - ( which I have never used - I KNOW). I paper-pieced four layers of the cake with Pebbles "Sunny Side" 6 x 6 papers, and stamped two candles - because of their 2nd birthday :) I die cut two layers using the Windows Frames Framelits from Sizziz/Stampin' Up ( I just those in the mail today and HAD to use them) I embossed the black panel with the Honeycomb embossing folder from CuttleBug. I wanted to give that black piece some texture. I added some yellow pom-pom trim and two bows made from some Lawn Trimmings at the top of the black panel. The birthday sentiment came from a card stock sticker/frame set I had in my stash. I added some washi tape to the bottom and top portion of the card ( you will see that when its laid flat)
Here is the card when its flat.
Happy Birthday Lawnscaping!! You make it so fun to play with my Lawn Fawn stamps!! Here's to many birthdays in the future!!
I am also going to enter this card into the first EVER Pinspired Challenge! They are having a party too!!

Lawnscaping Challenge #44 - New Technique
Hello Crafters!
So happy its the weekend - but as always it will go so fast! I enjoy my time to be able to craft and the weekend is a good time for me to do DT projects, challenges, or just be crafty in general!! I wanted to share with you my project for the next Lawnscaping Challenge - Try a New Technique. For my technique - I've always wanted to try stamping with bleach. I've seen so many cool projects done with it, and how it gives such a neat look.

I wanted to share with you my project for the next Lawnscaping Challenge - Try a New Technique. For my technique - I've always wanted to try stamping with bleach. I've seen so many cool projects done with it, and how it gives such a neat look.
To tell you the truth I actually did another card previous to making this one - but I felt this one turned out a bit better overall.
I first made a "bleach pad" by layering up a piece of paper towel and saturated it with bleach. I chose the microphone from Stay Tuned from Lawn Fawn and stamped it out first with the bleach. The image wasn't as solid as I would have liked - but still gave it a neat look. I, then stamped the image again with Memento Morocco Ink and offset the stamped image a bit. Then, I stamped my microphone image with black Staz On ink. I took one of the speech bubbles from A Birdie Told Me, and stamped that above the black microphone. Above the others, I stamped in the Morocco Ink the music notes from Stay Tuned. My sentiment also comes from Stay Tuned.
I wanted to add some texture so I turned to my basket of washi tape - and found this gray diagonal pattern and a thin mustard yellow pattern. For some embellishments- I added some gems and pearls. I forgot to say in the beginning - I finally was able to purchase the sampler pack of the Bazzill Card Shoppe cardstock, and I love it!! Like they say - its great for card makers - my card panel is the Circus Peanuts color, and the Licorice Twist is my card base.
Here is another look -
As always I enjoy participating in the LSC. It is my favorite Challenge blog :) I'll meet you back here soon!
