Mama Elephant Stamp With ME Challenge

Hi everyone - I wanted to share with you my creation I am submitting for the July 2015 Stamp with ME challenge - it is all about Rainbows! Who doesn't love rainbows and the pretty colors!!  It really is like eye candy!

I used the Lights Out Stamp Set from Mama Elephant to create this rainbow of light bulbs. I thought it would be fun to use the largest or roundest of the two sizes in the middle, and then the small size on the ends.

For the color of inks I chose - I chose Lobster from Lawn Fawn, Orange Soda  from HA, Sunflower from Lawn Fawn, Jelly Bean from Simon, and Blue Violet also from Simon Says Stamp. All of these inks have the same properties in once they dry they even out which I love! I also used the Femme Frames dies from Mama Elephant to create the stitched and scalloped frames.

To finish off my card I used a Gold Wink of Stella to accent my star, and the Clear WOS to give the rest of the bulbs some shimmer.  I've added this card to the Mama Elephant Flickr page where all of the challenge cards are linked.  I also have a video below showing you how I pulled this one together.  All the supplies used are listed and linked below!  Thanks for taking the time to stop by!

Holiday Card Series 2014 Card #5

Hello everyone!  I am sharing card #5 with all of you in my HCS for 2014.  I broke out a new stamp set from WPlus9 that I recently purchased a few weeks back, and decided to ink it up.  This card is one that can be easily duplicated.

I love how bright it is!  I simply die cut two pieces of card stock using the Avery Elle Finished Frames.  I used my favorite white PTI white card sock and the other green card stock is from SU! Lucky Limeade.  I am not sure if this card stock is still available, but something similar is PTI Green Leaf card stock.  I then stamped my string of lights on my white panel using Memento Tuxedo Black ink, and then used Hero Arts Mid Tone Shadow Ink in Red Royal, Lemon Yellow, Green Hills, Orange Soda, and the blue is Audrey Blue ink from Simon Says Stamp.  For the ends of the lights I inked it up with Gray Flannel Memento Ink.  For my sentiment I decided on the 'Jingle All The Way' and I inked it up with VersaFine Onyx Black ink - great for sentiments.  I then put my card all together.  I pop up the white panel with foam adhesive, and adhered that to my Lucky Limeade piece and then adhered that to my white card base. I then added some Wink of Stella to my lights for some shimmer.  Of course I have a video tutorial showing you how I put it all together.
For all the supplies used - I've linked them below for you.
Thanks for stopping in, and I hope you've enjoyed this series from me so far!!

Bubbling Over ( Mama Elephant Challenge)

Hello everyone!  As crafters and stampers - when you start to experiment with your stamps, and the more you do, and come up with a design that gets you so excited, you can't wait to share it??  Well, this has happened a few times for me, but recently for the current Mama Elephant Challenge, I have had an idea brewing in my mind for a few days, and it was killing me that I had to put it off because work and other things had to take priority.  Well, I was able to get some time this evening, and finish off my idea!  I love how it turned out, and I hope that you all think that it is clever!!
Here is my card, and below is the Inspiration Photo.

I started looking at the sets I had from Mama Elephant, and the longer I looked the more of the idea was brewing.  I used 4 - yes 4 Mama Elephant stamp sets.  It all started with Lights Out.  I love the fact that they have two sizes of light bulbs - with the outer lined image, as well as the solid.  Instead of my light bulb being a light bulb...I used it as a bottle.  I stamped out the outer lined image, and I took the solid part and inked up only part of it and stamped it down to make it look like liquid inside.  From there, I wanted bubbles and a cork - so I took what looks like to me bubbles in the Love from Above set, and I took the top hat image from Honey Bunny, and used it as my "cork".  I inked up bottom half of the top hat in the same color as my "bottle" which was inked up with Blue Sky Memento Ink, and the other half in Cup O' Joe Mid Tone Shadow Ink from Hero Arts.  Once I stamped my "bottle filled with bubbling liquid", I finished it off by using my Wink of Stella ( of course) and glossy accents to make everything pop ( no pun intended)

Of course, I didn't have the right sentiment - so I stamped out my custom sentiment using Mama Elephant's Flashy Letter, and Lawn Fawn's Milo's ABC's.

Here is a closer look  -

All the supplies used are linked below!!  Such a fun challenge!!

See you soon!

LSC #78 Clean and Simple

Welcome back to a new challenge for Lawnscaping Challenges! For this challenge, we are going to test your Clean and Simple skills!  For some this is really easy, and others, not so much!!  I think the meaning means different for every crafter, but none the less, it can be fun and challenging all at the same time.

For my card, I am taking some of the skills and techniques used in the current class over at Online Classes, Clean and Simple 3.
I started out by die cutting my balloon using one of the dies from the newest balloon die set from Simon Says Stamp, and I did that out of masking paper.  I, then applied my mask onto my card base, which is a standard card size of 4.25 x 5.5 - and scored to make a top folding card.  I, then took the diagonal strip border stamp from Lawn Fawn's Belinda's Borders, and inked it up using three colors of Hero Arts Mid tone Inks - Mint Julip, Butter Bar, and Pale Tomato.  Then, I need to define my balloon on my card base, so I took a sponge dauber, and inked slightly around the edge going from the middle of the masking paper out to the edge so the color wouldn't be so intense.
I think stamped my birthday sentiment from Lawn Fawn's So much to Say stamp set using the "Happy Birthday" sentiment.  I love this font! and then I stamped 3 start from one of the newest sets - Hello Sunshine, and then added a bit of shimmer to the stars using the Wink of Stella clear marker pen.  I, then rounded the corners to finish everything off.

This would be a fun one layer card too!  Hope you are able to join us over at Lawnscaping!!  Our awesome sponsor is....well yes - Lawn Fawn!  SCORE!

Looking forward to seeing all the clean and simple creations over at the gallery!
