NEW Lawn Fawn Haul ( Fall Release 2014)

Hello everyone!  Hope you are enjoying the weekend...it is a long holiday weekend here in the States, which I am happy about!  I've been enjoying getting back into my craft room, and luckily my order for the NEW Lawn Fawn Release came just in time!
I was allowed to pre-order with Vanessa Middleton - her shop is Butterfly Reflections, Inc.  I encourage all of you to check out her store.  She is super sweet.  Her customer services is second to none, and the shipping is super fast!  I love supporting small businesses like hers - and she is doing a great job!

OK - so to share with all of you my order, I of course did a haul video.  It is so much easier to share this way!  I do have some other things coming in the mail this coming week.  I was not able to buy everything in the release...oh how I wish I could have, but I got a good start :)

So - enjoy the video!  And, before I go - I am inching closer and closer to hitting 1000 Subscribers, and I am putting together a fun giveaway for this exciting milestone I've been wanting to reach!  So, if you love Lawn Fawn products, and to spend a little money for your own goodies, you'll want to make sure you are a subscriber!  Here is the LINK to check out my channel!

Lawnscaping FIT August Blog Hop

It is the end of August!!  OH. MY. WORD!  That is craziness isn't it!?  Hello, everyone!  Welcome to another blog hop featuring the Lawnscaping Facebook Inspiration Team aka the FIT team :)

This hop is sponsored by the fabulous Spectrum Noir!!

You should have found your way to me by the uber talented Isha!  I am sure she had something fabulous to feast your eyes on!

For my card - I went a simple route.  I was thinking ombre all the way!

This month we are inspired by Warm Grays and Pinks - so I took a few of the warm gray markers and colored from lightest to darkest on my white card stock.  This is pretty much a one layer card minus my sentiment :)  After getting the grays down I took the Chevron Backdrop stamp set and stamped the thicker of the chevron stamps in Memento Luxe Pigment inks in Rose Bud, Love Letter and Lilac Posies.  For something "extra" to my chevrons I just added a stitched detail with my Memento Tuxedo Black marker.  For my sentiment I stamped the 'Thinking of You' speech bubble from Chit Chat, and inked that up in the Lilac Posies and Love Letter inks again, and then die cut it out using the coordinating die and of course it screamed " I need shimmer" so I used my clear Wink of Stella to do just that!  To finish off the card I rounded the corners with my We R Memory Keepers Corner Chomper with the 3/8" setting.

It wouldn't take no time at all to whip up a few of these to keep on hand :)  Well, its time for me to send you off on the next stop...my girl Lenny!  Be sure to leave comment love along the way for a chance to win some of these awesome Spectrum Noir Markers!!

See you soon!

PPP Cutting Edge Blog Hop

OK - so I am doing a little catching up on my crafting!  This is the first full day I have had the chance to dedicate to crafting in 3 weeks!  I've missed it...
So, I wanted to participate in the PPP Cutting Edge Blog Hop.  I also did a video on how I made this card coming soon to my blog - once it goes live I will add it to this post.
I recently purchased the Stitched Film Strip Die - it was a die I really didn't have in my die collection - so many possibilities with this cute die.

For my card I inked up a couple of Stamps of Life stamp sets that I had that hasn't seen ink yet - Popcorn2stamp and TV2stamp.  These cute stamps also have coordinating dies to match!  You know me...love those coordinating dies!  I inked up the popcorn bag in Memento Luxe Love Letter, and the 'POP' sentiment in MFT Black Licorice and Memento Dandelion inks.  I die cut a few pieces of True Black CS from PTI from the Stitched Film Strip Die, because I didn't know exactly how my design would turn out.  So - that is when I used the 'News Flash' sentiment and stamped it 3 times within the die cut and then added my popcorn and popcorn bag.  I think it turned out pretty cute.  I also used one of the die cuts inside of my card as well!

Thanks so much for stopping by my blog!!  And, once the video for this card goes live I will share it as well!! Also, thank you to Paulina and her line up of sponsors for the chance to show off our creations during this blog hop!!

LSC # 88 Texture

So, welcome back to a new challenge over at Lawnscaping!  Time is passing so fast....hard to believe we are in a new challenge, and who doesn't like texture!  Texture is a lot of fun on projects!  You  know what else is fun....having Lawn Fawn as our sponsor!!  YES!!

For texture on my card, I used an embossing folder from Lifestyle Crafts. I think this one, because for this project, I used it as a dirt road :)  I embossed my piece with kraft card stock, and then added a bit of Walnut Stain Distress Ink to bring out the embossed pattern a bit more.  Then, I stamped out my images from Happy Trails in MFT Licorice Hybrid Ink, and then colored with my Copics.  To cut the images out, I used the coordinating dies (I hate to fussy cut).  I had a piece of cloud pattern paper in my stash that I thought would be a good fit for this card....by the way..my card is a 5.5 x 5.5 inch square card.
For my sentiment I used the ones from Love You S'more.  I also stamped that out in the same MFT Hybrid ink.  Then, I just started to adhering all of my pieces to make my little scene.  I think it turned out pretty cute.
So I hope you are able to join us for yet another fun challenge!! Lawn Fawn will be giving a $25 gift certificate to the lucky winner!!  If that is not incentive, I don't know what is!!  Have fun crafting!

Lawnscaping Challenge #87 Back to School

Well, my friends - it is that time again - a new Lawnscaping Challenge AND back to school time!  The summer has gone by fast!
We want to see your back to school projects! And, when you are buying some of your crafty goodies for school - remember Simon Says Stamp, who is also our sponsor for this fun challenge!!!!

So here is my card :) I used several fun Lawn Fawn goodies for this one.  I used the Quinn's Capital ABC's for my background.  I heat embossed it with Hero Arts Clear Embossing Powder. I also used stamp sets Science of Love and A Good Apple.  I stamped out my sentiments in Paris Dusk, Lady Bug and Cantaloupe Memento Inks. For my focal panel, I die cut some white PaperTrey Ink Stamper's Select card stock using the Stitched Journaling Card Die (small) and to color in my book - I used a few Copic Markers.

For the borders of my red card stock I applied some navy blue washi tape, and well as some yellow to highlight my arrow die cuts in my focal panel.

Hope this inspires you to make some fun back to school projects!!!

Hello ( no stamping ) + video

Hellllloooo :)  I wanted to pop in quickly to share with you my latest card tutorial.  No stamping was involved!  I need to use up some pattern papers that I have laying around with scraps that I have accumulated as well as some out of the SSS card kits that I get each month ( most of the time), so I've used some of the pattern papers from the Aug. kit from SSS, as well as a word die from Technique Tues.  If you are interested, I have the supplies that I used for this card linked below!!  Hope you are having a wonderful weekend!  See you all tomorrow!  A new Lawnscaping Challenge starts tomorrow :)

Lawnscaping FIT JULY Blog Hop ( sponsored by Spectrum Noir)

Hi folks!!  Happy Friday!  Welcome to another blog hop brought to your by the Lawnscaping FB Inspiration Team.  This month for our blog hop sponsored by the awesome Spectrum Noir, we are inspired by Yellows.

You should have found your way to me by the fun, and awesome Isha!  I am sure she had something fun to feast your eyes on!!
Here is my card...

A perfect summer set is "Make Lemonade" from Lawn Fawn.  I don't ink it up as much as I should.  These are cute images.  Of course, when I think of summer I think of  lemonade.  I wanted to incorporate as much as this set together as I could.  I stamped out the lemon image in Lemon Yellow Mid Tone Shadow ink from Hero Arts on my die cut piece of white card stock using the Postage Edge dies from Simon Says Stamp. The, I worked on my pitcher and glass of Lemonade coloring them in various shades of yellow alcohol markers, and when I was done, it needed shimmer...so I added some Wink of Stella!!

Be sure to leave a comment as Spectrum Noir is going to be giving away some of the awesome markers!
OK - time to send you off for some more fun projects - next up - Lenny!

Thanks for stopping by today!!  Have a great weekend!

LSC #86 Watercoloring

Hello fans of Lawnscaping!  Welcome back to another new challenge!  We are focusing on the more than ever popular water coloring!  Do you like to water color?  For some it may be new, intimidating, or your favorite technique - either way - we'd like to see what you'd create!

Our sponsor is the super awesome Lawn Fawn!!  How awesome is that!?  Here is what I came up with for my project featuring water color.

I used the adorable mini set "Get Well Soon" by Lawn Fawn - I thought it would be cute and different to use the little band aid and spell out " Hi".  I used some of the Tim Holtz Water color paper and stamped all of my images in Staz On Ink since I was water coloring, and it is a water proof ink. I used Distress Inks to water color my background and birdie image.  I used Evergreen Bough, Wild Honey, Mustard Seed, and Worn Lipstick.  After I did my water coloring, and once it was dry, I die cut my piece with one of my Sizzix Circles Dies.  I thought the edge of the circle needed a bit of definition, so I added a bit of Black Soot to the edge, and it makes it stand out better against the Lawn Fawn card base I used - these are the Lawn Fawndamentals notecards - they are a 4 bar size which is 3 1/3 X 4 7/8.
I added some Wink of Stella to my bird, and my "Hi" and added some glossy accents to the band aids.
Here is a closer look

Hopefully this card would perk any one up that was feeling under the weather :)  Be sure and play along!! There is a great prize to be won by Lawn Fawn!
See you soon!

You're Pretty Amazing! ( video tutorial)

Hi everyone!! Today's card I wanted to dive into the over run collection I have of washi tape! I have a lot of rolls of this stuff, and sadly I don't use it nearly enough as I should, so I wanted to break some out and make a colorful card with it! I love to link to the exact rolls I used, but I bought these at Michael's - they are the Recollection brand, but you can use what ever patterns, and colors you have on hand for this very card! Of course too, I couldn't avoid using my oh so loved Femme Frames from Mama Elephant. Maybe that should be a crafty challenge within itself for me...I should try to make a card WITHOUT using these frames!! HAHA! Anyhoo! - I have the below on just how I made this card! I hope you enjoy! And, if you are not yet subscribed to my  YouTube Channel, I invite you to to subscribe!  Anytime that I upload a new video, you will know as soon as it publishes!
