Lawnscaping FIT Team October Blog Hop

Helllllooo! Welcome to another Blog Hop with the Lawnscaping FIT Team!!  For this month's hop we are inspired by Reds and Greens!!

Before I get into details about my card, I wanted to give a shout out to Spectrum Noir for being our awesome sponsor!!  You should have found your way to me by awesome Isha!!  I am sure she had something awesome to feast your eyes on!

For my card, I wanted to mixed the old with the new!  I used Ornate Ornaments for the focal point, and I used Joy to the Woods ( both Lawn Fawn sets, of course) for my sentiment.  I die cut a piece of white stampers select card stock and die cut it using the femme frames from Mama Elephant.  I stamped out my branches in both Pear Tart and Cottage Ivy Memento Inks. I think stamped the ornaments directly onto my panel in Black Memento Ink, and then stamped them again on another piece of white card stock to color them in with my markers.  Once I was done with my coloring, I fussy cut them out using my Fiskars detail scissors and then adhered them on with foam adhesive to give them dimension.  I stamped out my 'Merry Christmas' sentiment from Joy to the Woods in Versa Fine Onyx Black, this is my favorite black ink for sentiments.  Then, for my card base, I cut another piece of white card stock down to make an A2 top folding card, and I die cut a piece of pattern paper from the Snow Day 6x6 pad using the largest stitched rectangle stackables die.  I loved the musical notes paper for contrast with the ornaments. I adhered my pattern paper down to my card base, and popped up my main panel with foam adhesive.  For a final touch, I added some shimmer with what else the Wink of Stella Glitter pen in Clear.  I hope you like this card, and it gives you some inspiration for your holiday cards this year!!
It's time to send you off to the talented Lenny!!  Enjoy the rest of the hop!!!

See you soon!!

PPP Cutting Edge Blog Hop

OK - so I am doing a little catching up on my crafting!  This is the first full day I have had the chance to dedicate to crafting in 3 weeks!  I've missed it...
So, I wanted to participate in the PPP Cutting Edge Blog Hop.  I also did a video on how I made this card coming soon to my blog - once it goes live I will add it to this post.
I recently purchased the Stitched Film Strip Die - it was a die I really didn't have in my die collection - so many possibilities with this cute die.

For my card I inked up a couple of Stamps of Life stamp sets that I had that hasn't seen ink yet - Popcorn2stamp and TV2stamp.  These cute stamps also have coordinating dies to match!  You know me...love those coordinating dies!  I inked up the popcorn bag in Memento Luxe Love Letter, and the 'POP' sentiment in MFT Black Licorice and Memento Dandelion inks.  I die cut a few pieces of True Black CS from PTI from the Stitched Film Strip Die, because I didn't know exactly how my design would turn out.  So - that is when I used the 'News Flash' sentiment and stamped it 3 times within the die cut and then added my popcorn and popcorn bag.  I think it turned out pretty cute.  I also used one of the die cuts inside of my card as well!

Thanks so much for stopping by my blog!!  And, once the video for this card goes live I will share it as well!! Also, thank you to Paulina and her line up of sponsors for the chance to show off our creations during this blog hop!!

PPP Sequin Shaker Blog Hop

Hello everyone!  Hope you are having a happy weekend so far!!  Today, I thought I would participate in the Pretty Pink Posh Sequin Shaker Blog Hop.  Honestly, I didn't think I would be able to participate because I have a busy weekend - mostly doing other craft things, but I just started making a sequin shaker, and loved how it turned out, so of course I didn't want to miss the opportunity to link my card up!!

This is my card for the blog hop.  It is a fun, vibrate colored card!  I started out taking some Tim Holtz Watercolor card stock, and I used a few colors of Distress Stains - and I applied them directly to my card stock. I added a bit of water to get the colors melding into one another, and I heat set it to speed up the drying time.  I just loved how vibrate the colors turned out.  I then took this piece and die cut it using some of my Framelits that I sadly do not remember the name of at the moment.  I die cut also a piece of acetate, a piece of yellow patterned paper from the Let's Polka 6x6 pad from Lawn Fawn, and also a black frame using some Licorice card stock from Bazzill.   I had to strategically place my foam adhesive around my die cut pieces as this is not a normal size for a shaker, but it worked out. Once I added my mm PPP Sparking Clear Sequins, I added my acetate, and then my black frame.  I then adhered my shaker piece to the yellow patterned paper.  I cut a piece of card stock and made my card base to be a 5 inch square card.  I used a Hero Arts background stamp along with some Rose Bud Memento ink on my card base, and then die cut some black scallop borders using the LF Stitched Scallop Border Die.  I adhered my shaker to my card base, and then I die cut the "Hello" sentiment using the Hello Die from LF and adhered it straight down in the middle of my shaker.

I think it turned out better that I originally imagined!  Hope you having fun either participating in the hop, or just looking at all the fun shakers and getting inspiration!!

Have a great day!

Hello everyone!! Welcome to April's Blog Hop with the FB Inspiration Team!! Our awesome sponsor is Spectrum Noir!! This month we are inspired by the colors Turquoise and Pale colors. You should have found your way to me by the lovely Sabine!!

For my card, I made a baby themed card which I don't get to or don't often make!  So, I made a conscience effort to make one!  I used Pa Rum Pa Pum Pum, Plus One, and Milo's ABC's for my custom sentiment.  I stamped, and colored using the coordinating alcohol marker colors for this month's hop.  I also used some pattern paper from the Let's Polka 6x6 from Lawn Fawn.  I used the 3 square die from SSS, and also die cut some scallop borders with the Stitched Scallop border die from LF out of some wood grain textured card stock.

I couldn't forget to put some Wink of Stella on my bears :)  What baby wouldn't love glitter on their bears :)

Hope you are enjoying this month's hop!  It is now time to continue to the awesome Lenny!!  Be sure to leave comments along the way for your chance to win some Spectrum Noir markers!!

So - Here is my card that I've made to hopefully inspire you :)

I used two Lawn Fawn sets - (1)Hello Sunshine using the sentiment 'Fly away with me', and (2) Blue Skies and I used the smallest balloon in the set.  I, first prepped my card panel by die cutting it using one of the Femme Frames from Mama Elephant, and then I applied Tumbled Glass Distress Ink for my sky.  Then, I die cut two pieces of white card stock and made a DIY stencil using the My Favorite Things Sun Ray die.  I, then added some color to my embossing paste using the Mustard Seed Distress Marker, and I applied my stencil and applied the colored paste, and then added some sparkle using Judikins Iridescent Sparkle embossing powder.   I set that aside to dry before I heat embossed it, and then I worked on my balloon.  I stamped and die cut the smallest balloon, and colored it in using a couple of the green alcohol markers.
Once my embossing paste panel was dry, I heat embossed it for the embossing powder to shine and sparkle, and then I stamped my sentiment, and added my balloon using foam adhesive.  Then, I mounted that onto a A2 size top folding white card base.

Hope you are having fun on the hop so far!  It is time for me to send you off to the super sweet Lenny!

Thanks for visiting today!!

Lawnscaping Inspiration Team's Valentine's Day Blog Hop

Welcome to our very first Lawnscaping Inspiration Blog Hop!!  Hope you have had fun so far on this lovey-dovey journey as we are feeling the love on this Valentines Day! You should have arrived to my blog by the way of my girl Lizzy!!  She's always got something fabulous to feast your eyes on!!

I wanted to create something really special for this hop - and I hope you feel that it is!

I did a technique that I haven't done in a while called "Mirror Stamping".  It is super fun, but it is a little tedious at times.  I wanted two seals in love :)  So I had to get this by having two seals that were facing each other - and to accomplish that - mirror stamping was involved. I used the seal from "Critters in the Sea".  It only took me a couple of tries to get the image I wanted to use - but it was worth it.  I also stamped out my own custom sentiment used the alpha sets - "Harolds ABC's" and "Sally's ABC's".  I love mixing the two fonts together.
I created my "water" by first using some scratch Coastal Cabana card stock, and I used the diagonal stencil from Simon Says Stamp and some Judikins Iridescent Sparkle embossing powder, and then I took a die from Mama Elephant Landscapes dies and created a wave to my water.  And, what is two seals in love without a heart in between them :)  I used a small heart image from "Into the Woods" stamp set stamped with Lady Bug Memento ink, and added a little bit of shimmer using my Wink of Stella pen.

I like how this card came out - and I hope you like it too!!  Well - its time for me to send you on your way to the lovely and super fun Lenny!!  Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the rest of the hop!!  Happy Valentine's Day!!

Lawnscaping Fall Blog Hop

**Since I need to keep this post at the top of my page - I just wanted to say Happy World Cardmaking Day (10-6-12) to all of the wonderful card makers out there!!**

Hi blog hoppers!! Welcome to Lawnscaping's Fall Blog Hop!  You've made your way to me by the lovely and uber talented Joe Shien Shien. Today we want to inspire all of you with the colors of fall or what represents Fall to you!  Being able to combine Fall and Lawn Fawn stamps is so super fun to me!  Lawn Fawn inspires me to take my stamps and creativity as far as it can go!!  Today - I am happy to be apart of such a wonderful group of talented crafters for today's hop!!  For my card - I used Lawn Fawn stamp sets - Critters in the BurbsGnome Sweet GnomeHats Off to YouCritters on the Farm and So Thankful for You.

I did a lot of paper piecing for my card.  I used pattern papers from Autumn Spice from Lily Bee Design, and an AC 6 x6 paper pad I purchased at Michael's Craft Store.  My card base is an A2 sized card base and its made from Gina K. Designs called Soft Sand.  My card panel is a piece of Vintage Creme Card stock from PTI.  I used the In the Meadow Die from PaperTrey Ink to create my hill tops.  I am not talented enough I feel to create these free hand - that is why I love these dies so much.  Then, I stamped out all my pieces cut them out, and paper - pieced  the trees, the hat for "pilgrim gnome" and my pumpkins.  I added more color to my "pilgrim gnome" by using my Copics.  I added some Star Dust stickles to my pumpkins and leaves for that extra "something".

Here is a closer look at that glitter goodness -

I can't express to you how much I enjoyed making a card for this blog hop!!  I love all things Lawn Fawn and I hold all of my collections from stamps to paper from them dear to my heart!

Well - its time send you on your way to the awesome and sweet Rachel!!  Be sure to leave comments along the way - there just be a chance to win something wonderful!!
