3 CARDS | 1 6x6 PAPER PAD | Winter Wonderland by Simple Stories

Hey all!  I'm here to share with you that I am kicking off a new series on my #youtube channel called 3 CARDS 1 6x6 PAPER PAD.  I will feature a different 6x6 paper pad, and make three different cards with that same pad.  I wanted to do this series to use my pattern papers more, but also give ideas on how to use up those dreaded scraps we all have!

I won't be doing this as a back to back series, but more rather a once or twice a month thing on my channel.

For this set of cards I feature Simple Stories Winter Wonderland.  I love these papers and the color combination.  I also love the fact that they incorporate smaller patterns to create tags, and elements you could use on your cards as a sentiment and focal panel without having to use stamps if you didn't want to.

I show you how to do this very thing on Card #1 in this video!

For all the details on how I put these cards together, I invite you to watch the video!  All the supplies are listed below :)

Thanks for stopping by!!  See you soon!!

Celebrate featuring Right At Home stamps!

Hello all!  Today, I am featuring some Right At Home stamps both from the new release and from a previous release.  I love how that you can mix and match stamp sets no matter when they have been released, and make them work on your projects all year round.

I wanted to feature the new set Find The Beauty, which is a lovely builder set with fun flower images.

I started by die cutting a piece of smooth white card stock, and a scallop frame from Pretty Pink Posh. On my white card panel, I took one of the flower images and stamped down the main solid image flower, and then took the builder images for the flower and stamped them using different colors of ink to really make it pop.  I wanted the center of the flower to stand out with the sentiment, so I stamped the middle flower accent, and took my powder tool to ensure that no embossing powder wouldn't stick to areas where I didn't want it, and then I used my Versa Mark ink, and stamped my image down, then coating it with Gold embossing powder and heat setting it.  I wanted leaves around my flower, so I took another one of the building images that suppose to accent another flower, and turned it into leaves.  I just made a mask for my flower and stamped my "leaves" to make it look like they were behind my flower.

For my sentiment, I used the oh so popular Script Greetings, and used the Celebrate sentiment, and also embossed it in Gold embossing powder.
To finish up my card, I took the scallop frame, and inked around it with an ombre' look, and then adhered that onto a piece of kraft and gold foiled pattern paper to really set off the gold accents on my card.  I adhered my main panels onto a 5 x 5 white card base.

I wanted to keep it fairly clean a simple as I wanted my focal images to take stage!

You can find the stamp sets and more of the latest release over at the Right at Home store!!

Thanks for stopping by today!  I will see you very soon!

Square Shaker Card + Video!

Good Afternoon!!  Today, I am bringing you a shaker card tutorial.  I love shakers - they are so much fun, and the possibilities are endless when it comes to making them, and what you can put in them.  No wonder they are so popular.  For my card today I am using Mama Elephant's Sunny Skies stamp set as well as sequins from Pretty Pink Posh.  I recently picked up some of the new iridescent colors that Paulina has in her shop!

I started out by die cutting a piece of my favorite white card stock and a piece of the Sea Glass Card Stock from Simon Says Stamp using one of the frames from the Small Stitched Square die set from Lawn Fawn, and then I used the coordinating balloon die from the Sunny Skies set, and die cut two balloons from my white panel to create my window panel for my shaker.  I, then stamped onto my Sea Glass card stock the balloons from the stamp set using Lemon Yellow ink, and Raspberry Jam ink, both from Hero Arts.  I stamped the basket from the stamp set and the sentiment 'Sunny Skies Ahead'  onto my white window panel.  I then adhered a die cut piece of acetate to the back of my white panel to complete the window panel.  Then, I covered the back of the panel with foam adhesive before adding some fun sequins.

I added the Sunshine Glow and Strawberry Burst Iridescent sequins to my windows, and then I removed my foam adhesive backing papers to expose the stick side, and then I adhered my stamped panel.  Success!  Time to give it a few shakes!   To finish the card, I die cut another piece of Sea Glass card stock with another square frame and adhered that to a 5x5 white card base.

If you are interested in seeing how this one came together - I have the how to video below.
