Holiday Card Series 2016 | Card #9 | KWCardDesign

Hi and welcome to another card in my Holiday Card Series - today I am playing with the Avery Elle set called Oh What Fun.  This set came out last year, but I love it so much, and wanted to bring it back out for this series.  I colored this image during The Daily Marker Coloring challenge, so you won't see me color Santa, but I did basic coloring with my Copics.

I also used some pattern papers from the Oh, Deer 6x6 from Fancy Pants.  This is another one that came out last year, but I didn't get to use it as much as I wanted to.  I did create a snow scene on a piece of white card stock for my Santa, by stamping the snow cluster and heat embossing it with white embossing powder.  My panel was die cut from the Lawn Fawn Stitched Journaling Card die.  I also used the banner die for my sentiment and this is found with the same die set from Lawn Fawn.

Then, I added some Tumbled Glass distress ink, to bring out those snow flakes.

I die cut my pattern papers from the Stitched rectangle die from Right at Home, and the Hero Arts Infinity rectangles.

I created a top fold A2 size card out of Sea Glass card stock from SSS, and for a final touch I added one white enamel dot on the sentiment banner, and added some shimmer with my Wink of Stella shimmer pen.

For all the supplies used - please see the list below the video tutorial!  Thanks for watching!!

Lawnscaping Challenge #87 Back to School

Well, my friends - it is that time again - a new Lawnscaping Challenge AND back to school time!  The summer has gone by fast!
We want to see your back to school projects! And, when you are buying some of your crafty goodies for school - remember Simon Says Stamp, who is also our sponsor for this fun challenge!!!!

So here is my card :) I used several fun Lawn Fawn goodies for this one.  I used the Quinn's Capital ABC's for my background.  I heat embossed it with Hero Arts Clear Embossing Powder. I also used stamp sets Science of Love and A Good Apple.  I stamped out my sentiments in Paris Dusk, Lady Bug and Cantaloupe Memento Inks. For my focal panel, I die cut some white PaperTrey Ink Stamper's Select card stock using the Stitched Journaling Card Die (small) and to color in my book - I used a few Copic Markers.

For the borders of my red card stock I applied some navy blue washi tape, and well as some yellow to highlight my arrow die cuts in my focal panel.

Hope this inspires you to make some fun back to school projects!!!

LSC # 83 Embossing

Happy Monday :) Is it time for a new challenge already over at Lawnscaping ? - YEP!
For this new challenge - it is all about embossing!!  Whether you used embossing powder to heat emboss, or an embossing folder to dry emboss or BOTH, we want to see your projects!

For my card - I inked up the cute set "Here's the Scoop" - it is a fun summery type set from Lawn Fawn that you can get at Simon Says Stamp who is our awesome sponsor!!

I stamped and heat embossed my ice cream "tops" in various colors of embossing powders - all from Stampin' Up! because that is the only brand of colored embossing powders I own - but there are many colors from WOW! that you can get too! After I embossed all of the ice cream - I "fussy" cut them out and set them aside.  I die cut a piece of white card stock using the Stitched Journaling Card Die, and then I stamped my cones using Toffee Crunch Memento Ink, and then I added a bit of color using my E11 Copic Marker.  I also stamped the ice cream scoop image in Gray Flannel Memento Ink and colored it using C3 Copic Marker and then I also "fussy" cut it out. I adhered all of my images to my die cut white panel, and two of the ice cream images I popped up using dimensional adhesive.  I stamped the sentiment "Here's the Scoop" in Onyx Black VersaFine Ink.  I adhered that panel to a blue patterned paper from the Hello, Sunshine 6x6 paper pack from Lawn Fawn, and adhered all of that to my white A2 size card base.

Hope you are able to join us for this fun new challenge!!

See you soon!

LSC # 82 Distress Mania

Welcome back!  It is time to introduce a new challenge over at Lawnscaping!  So, do you like the Distressed look?!  There are so many ways to achieve this look!  We want you to show us your Distressed Project!

Here is my card!

I used the Critters on the Farm set by Lawn Fawn.  I think think is one of the cutest sets, and I have used it for many different projects.  To feature distressing on my project - I, first took a piece of wood grain card stock and two different colors of Distress Inks - Weathered Wood and Vintage Photo and just inked up an area big enough so I could stamp my barn image from the stamp set. Once I achieved the look I was going for, I colored with Copic Markers R29, E37, C5 and C7.  It makes it look like a vintage barn. I stamped, cut and colored my hay bale.  I also die cut some grass out of the green polka dot papers from Let's Polka.  I adhered all of these elements to a die cut piece of Sea Glass card stock die cut from the Stitched Journaling card die.  I also used my newest dies from Lawn Fawn the Spring Showers - the sun and one of the clouds.  I just LOVE that stitched border!  I adhered my main panel to a piece of white card stock that was die cut from what else - the stitched frame from the Femme Frames set from Mama Elephant!  Again, addicted!  Then, I adhered all of that to a piece of yellow polka dot paper also from the Let's Polka 6x6 pad.  All of this got adhered to a Sea Glass A2 size card base, and to add a little bit more distressing...I roughed up the edges of my card base, and added some Vintage Photo Distress Ink around the edges too.

OH!  and that sun - I took another piece of white wood grain card stock and used one of the new Prima Bloom Sprays in Sunshine to color the card stock and then used the sun die from Spring Showers to die cut it out...love the texture and the color!!

Hope I have inspired you today!!  Our sponsor this week is the super awesome Lawn Fawn!  And, they are about to release new products!! YAY!

See you soon!
