LSC #66 - Monochromatic

Hi all!  I am a little tardy getting my post up for the latest Lawnscaping Challenge - but I did get it up in the same day - so it counts, right??

This one was a bit of a challenge for me - but I think I handled it well!!  What do you all think??

I used one of my favorite back ground building stamps - "Interlocking Backdrops" and stamped it out onto a Crisp Cantaloupe card base using Crisp Cantaloupe ink - I also got out my " A Birdie Told Me" set and stamped the biggest word bubble onto some pattern paper from the "Yes, Please" 6x6 paper pad from Amy Tangerine/AC. My sentiment comes from the "Many Thanks" set from LF.  I stamped out that cute little birdie onto a strip of washi of the same color combo that I am trying to achieve and I stamped it using some Staz-On Ink and then used the coordinating die.  For some finishing touches, I added some enamel dots and some Lawn Trimmings twine.

Be sure to take some time out and get crafty with us and submit your projects to this challenge!!  There will be some awesome inspiration on the blog with the design team, and also be sure to check in with Facebook and visit Lawnscapings Facebook page for the LF Facebook Inspiration Team's inspiration as well!!

See you over at the blog!!  Have fun!

I had to link it up for you - because for some reason I am unable to show my video directly coming from YT. I will work on that however -

Kelly Marie's Birthday Party Blog Hop!!

Surprise!!!  Happy Birthday Kelly Marie!!

Today - we are celebrating Kelly Marie's birthday - I am so delighted and honored to be apart of this wonderful group to help celebrate such a happy day!!!!  You should have reached me by the way of the awesome and super sweet Lenny!!

Kelly Marie - here is my card for you!  I sure hope you like it!!

It seems all the cards I've been making lately, I have to incorporate this awesome teal blue color!!  I am obsessed!  I believe one of the prettiest color combos is this blue and red together!  I started out by die cutting the right side edge of the card base with the new Simon Says Stamp A2 Card Curved Edge Die, and also did the same with the pattern paper from the awesome new "Into The Woods" collection from LF.  I then die cut some stars in my pattern paper using the LF "Star Stackables Dies".  Then, I wanted to add some "glam" to the card ( after all - it is a birthday card!!) - and thought adding gold embossing would be the perfect touch - so I stamped the "bursts" images from the "Happy 4th" set using Versa Mark Ink and heat embossed with gold embossing powder.  I did the same with the "Happy Birthday" greeting from "So Much To Say".  I added some cute red star washi tape towards the bottom of the card.  I love this washi tape because the stars are transparent and you can see the pattern paper through it.
To add dimension to the card - I popped up the middle star die cut, and then I added some wood veneer stars - one in the middle of my cluster of stars and then in the middle of the "bursts".  I heated embossed one of the stars in gold - and then added some Christmas Red Stickles to the other three stars to round out the red in the color.

Next up to wish you a Happy Birthday Kelly Marie is super sweet and talented Tracy ( another teamie from the Lawnscaping FB Inspiration Team) with her awesome creation!!  If you get lost along the way - you can just head back to the beginning over at Tiffany's blog, and it will get you going in the right direction again.

Kelly Marie - I hope this blog hop puts a huge smile on your face!  You do so much for so many!  You deserve such a happy day - YOUR day!!  Happy, Happy Birthday!!!

You Make....

It's the weekend!!  YAY!  Even better than that - it is the start of my vacation to relax and do something else besides work!!  :)

Today - I am here to share a card with you that I made using the Simon Says Stamp set Card Exchanging Friends.

I also used the new ink In Colors for 2013-2015 from SU!  So pretty - these colors together are so yummy!!  So up my alley!!  I stamped out one of the banners from the stamp set several times - and I used Crisp Cantaloupe, Coastal Cabana, Strawberry Slush, Baked Brown Sugar, and back to Crisp Cantaloupe.  My card is a 4.25 x 4.25 square card. I then wanted for each banner to have a sentiment in it - so I stamped " You Make" in the first banner and then continued down with each different sentiment from the same stamp set.  I adhered my stamped panel to a piece of Wood Grain card stock - also from Simon Says Stamp, and then adhered that to a Coastal Cabana card base.  To finish off the card and bring in more of the strawberry color - I added to bakers twine that closely matched that color.

So simple  - yet colorful and fun!!

Thanks for stopping in!!

LSC #65 - My Favorite Things

Happy Monday! And to those in the U.S., Happy Labor Day!!  Hope you all are enjoying your extended weekend!!  We are back once again for a new Lawnscaping Challenge!!

For this challenge - we want you to get out your favorite supplies to make a project - whether its pattern paper, markers, stamps ( of course Lawn Fawn) and any supplies you like to use!!  Bust 'em out and get crafty and join us for this new challenge!

For my card - my favorite things to use and to feature is color, texture, and dimension - and I knew that one of my newest sets that I adore from Lawn Fawn would fit right in with all of these things.  So - my favorite supplies to achieve this......my Copics, Distress Inks, different textured card stocks,  and my foam adhesive.

I started out by creating my sky, and I stamped out my clouds in Versa Mark onto my white card base and heated embossed with white embossing power, and then I inked it up with Distress Ink - I used both Tumbled Glass and Salty Ocean.  Then, I took the set  "Blue Skies" and stamped the biggest balloon onto a scrap of white card stock, and then took a Chevron pattern stamp I had and added the chevrons for something different on the balloon.  I picked out some Copics in a rainbow colors and colored in my balloon and then I fussy cut the balloon out.  In this case, since I added the chevron pattern, I really couldn't use my die since it leaves a white border.
I then stamped the other small balloon onto some glittered and textured card stock from DCWV, and also cut them out.  I had some green ribbon that I thought could represent "grass" and adhered it to the bottom of my card base.  I adhered the to smaller balloons straight down onto the card, and the bigger one up on foam adhesive to give that dimension that I love!  Really makes the balloon jump off the card!  I added my greeting "Miss You" from "So Much To Say" and then, for a final touch, I had a cluster bird image from a SU! set that I thought would go great!!

Don't miss your chance to get in on the fun!!  Simon Says Stamp is our sponsor this week!!  ( and they just released a bunch of new product for "Stamptember")
Looking forward to seeing all the entries!!

See you over at the blog!!

Curtain Call Challenge - Carnival Craze

I am new to this challenge called Curtain Call Inspiration Challenge.  I wanted to try it out and make my first submission with this card.

Lawn Fawn is the sponsor and I of course wanted to incorporate some Lawn Fawn in my card.  All of the pattern papers, EVEN the photo come from THIS 8 x 8 pad from October Afternoon.  I took half sheet of the ticket page and cut then down into strips and adhered them on an angle in different directions.  Then, I was looking through the paper pad and I came across the young couple photo and thought it would be fun to cut it down and put it behind the Polaroid from Lawn Fawn's Say Cheese.  I wanted to make the frame look like it had aged, so I added some Old Paper Distress Ink, and then took THIS calender stamp from Amy Tangerine, and stamped my month ( at random ) and the same for the year using the numbers from THIS Lawn Fawn set and stamped beside the month ( again, I picked a random year).  I adhered my photo onto the card, and then found the "Carnival" strip and the bottom teal strip and also cut those down to size.
I found the little photo "Ready, Flash" element and added it to the corner of the photo.  This was a different kind of card for me, but I had fun playing with it to get it to the final result.

It is good to step out of your comfort zone every now and then :)
Thanks for stopping by!

Distress Mania LSC #64

WOW! Back again to introduce a new Lawnscaping Challenge!!  We getting Distressed!!  This challenge is all about making your projects look Distressed with inks, sanding, etc.

Up for grabs is a gift certificate to the oh so wonderful Lawn Fawn!!  And, with there new releases about to be available very soon - now it is a great time to enter!

Here is my card for this challenge!

I used some Core'dinations paper that I had in my stash and I dry embossed my paper with a diagonal stripes embossing folder, and then sanded my paper to bring out the color core!!  I, then added some washi tape with the same color scheme that I was going for.  Then, I stamped out the polaroid from "Say Cheese" ( my very first Lawn Fawn stamp set - I treasure it!) onto some more Core'dinations paper but on the color core side to make it look "aged".  Then, I took one of the element stickers from the Dewey Decimal collection, and added it to the middle of my frame using foam adhesive.  I felt like my card needed one more thing, so I found a peach colored button in my stash and added some Lawn Trimmings to the button and adhered it to my frame.  This whole card panel was adhered to a piece of Hawaiian Shores card stock, and then onto a Kraft card base.

Hope this inspires you to enter into this week's challenge!!  I am looking forward to all the entries!!
Be sure to watch throughout the week for additional inspiration from the Facebook Inspiration Team!

Thinking Of You Today

Good Sunday to you all!  Hope everyone's weekend has been a good one!  Today, I wanted to get a little crafty time in, and pulled out some supplies that I don't use often, but still love!  I have THIS Sizzix and Hero Arts Stamp and Die set that I think is the prettiest out of all of these sets ( IMO) - and wanted to break it out as I don't use it often enough.

I also don't use my Copics all that often.  I am not a big person on coloring, but I do like to do it every now and then.  I stamped the biggest butterfly and flower images of the set with Memento Tuxedo Black ink, and colored the images using RV34, RV19, BG13, BG15, YG63, and G05.  Then, I used the coordinating Sizzix dies and die cut the images ( which is the most fun part for me!).  I, then cut down a piece of Hawaiian Shores from PTI, and scored and folded to a standard A2 size card.  I, then pulled out some wood grain patterned washi I had that is about the same color and added to my card base to give a bit of interest and pattern to my card.  My sentiment also comes from the PTI set We Go Together.  To finish off the card - I just added some glitter using my Wink Of Stella pen.

Here is a closer look at the glitter goodness -

Enjoy the rest of your weekend!!

We're More than Friends

**This is my second post for today - scroll down to see the first**

Hi all - I just wanted to share with you my video tutorial on the card below!  It has been FOREVER since I made a card tutorial!  I remembered why today - It took me all day to do the tutorial and get the video edited the way I wanted!  Well - maybe since I know ( or I think I know) what I'm doing now - I will try to do more tutorials in the near future!

So here it is!!  Enjoy!!

You Totally Rock!

Happy Sunday to you all!  Back to share with you another card project.  Whew!  Two cards shares back to back!!  That's unheard of for me - especially lately!  I actually created this card last weekend, but I am just now able to blog about it and share with you.

This card features a new die I recently purchased from Papertrey Ink called Rainbow Stripes Die.  This die is so much fun and you could do so much with it!  The possibilities are endless!  I die cut with the die twice using Kraft card stock and  Wax Lips (red) card stock from Bazzill Card Shoppe card stock.  I also die cut using the Lawn Fawn Puffy Star Stackables from some silver POW glitter paper by American Crafts. To me, this is the best way to have the glitter look and there is no fuss or mess - the glitter will not come off!  Love it!  I stamped my sentiment "You Totally Rock" that come from the stamp set  "For The Record" from Simon Says Stamp.

It seems pretty much all my cards have this teal color incorporated somewhere!  I am obsessed with this color!!  To finish off my card - I added a few enamel dots and some faux stitching.

Hope your weekend has been great!  Thanks for taking time out to visit today!

Hello, Just Because

It feels so great to be in the craft room this evening!!  I don't know what it is, but I don't get to sit down and create as much as I'd like to!  I am finally getting to play with my SSS August Card Kit ( which is sold out - sorry to those that might have been interested) Good news is though - there are some of the products in the kit that are sold individually and are available for purchase!

This kit is such a great one too!  Well, all of the SSS kits usually are - and this one is no exception!!

Most of the items you see on this card were used from the kit, however the die cut leaves are from a die and stamps from PTI, the "Just Because" comes from "Handwritten Sentiments" from SSS, and the green card stock was just a piece that was from my scraps.  I love these colors together!  So happy!

You can never have enough "Hello" or "Just Because" cards!  I always like to have them on hand - and I want them to make who ever receives them smile!  I think this will be one of those cards :)

Thanks for stopping in!!
