Lawnscaping FIT Team October Blog Hop

Helllllooo! Welcome to another Blog Hop with the Lawnscaping FIT Team!!  For this month's hop we are inspired by Reds and Greens!!

Before I get into details about my card, I wanted to give a shout out to Spectrum Noir for being our awesome sponsor!!  You should have found your way to me by awesome Isha!!  I am sure she had something awesome to feast your eyes on!

For my card, I wanted to mixed the old with the new!  I used Ornate Ornaments for the focal point, and I used Joy to the Woods ( both Lawn Fawn sets, of course) for my sentiment.  I die cut a piece of white stampers select card stock and die cut it using the femme frames from Mama Elephant.  I stamped out my branches in both Pear Tart and Cottage Ivy Memento Inks. I think stamped the ornaments directly onto my panel in Black Memento Ink, and then stamped them again on another piece of white card stock to color them in with my markers.  Once I was done with my coloring, I fussy cut them out using my Fiskars detail scissors and then adhered them on with foam adhesive to give them dimension.  I stamped out my 'Merry Christmas' sentiment from Joy to the Woods in Versa Fine Onyx Black, this is my favorite black ink for sentiments.  Then, for my card base, I cut another piece of white card stock down to make an A2 top folding card, and I die cut a piece of pattern paper from the Snow Day 6x6 pad using the largest stitched rectangle stackables die.  I loved the musical notes paper for contrast with the ornaments. I adhered my pattern paper down to my card base, and popped up my main panel with foam adhesive.  For a final touch, I added some shimmer with what else the Wink of Stella Glitter pen in Clear.  I hope you like this card, and it gives you some inspiration for your holiday cards this year!!
It's time to send you off to the talented Lenny!!  Enjoy the rest of the hop!!!

See you soon!!

LSC #92 Halloween Theme or Color combo

Hi my friends!  So, we are entering into a new challenge, and right around the corner is Halloween. Now I will be completely honest and say that I am really not into Halloween.  Never really was that big into it as a kid either.  But, I did have some fun putting together this card for this challenge.

I used the cute set Spooktacular.  I also used So Thankful for one of the smaller pumpkins.  I started out by die cutting a piece of white card stock and a piece of vellum from one of the Large Stitched Rectangle Stackables dies, and then I inked up my background with distress inks - Scattered Straw, Mustard Seed, Ripe Persimmon, and Chipped Sapphire.  Once I was satisfied with my background, I started working on my images.  I stamped the kitty cat, pumpkin, the moon and a bat all from the Spooktacular set.  I colored all of my images with Copic Markers except for the bat - I just used the die to cut him out of black card stock from my stash.  Once I was done with all of my images, I cut out a border for them to sit on out of black card stock.  I adhered my vellum onto my inked back ground to "mute" it just a bit, and then started adding all of my images on top.  I stamped my sentiment out in Staz On ink as this is a good ink for vellum.  You can't tell in the picture, but I added some shimmer using my Wink of Stella clear brush marker on the witches hat, the small pumpkin and the moon.
Then, I started to put my card together.  I die cut some pattern paper from a Doodlebug 6x6 pad, and added that straight down onto my Smoke Card base, and then I put foam adhesive on my main panel and adhered it to my pattern paper.  Turned out cute I think, and I feel I can still give this card to a friend!

Hope you like this card and it inspires you to join us for this newest challenge over at Lawnscaping Challenges.  Our awesome sponsor is the fabulous Lawn Fawn!!! Link up your project for the chance at a $25 gift certificate!

LSC #91 Patterned Paper

Hi everyone!  Welcome to the first challenge for October 2014 for Lawnscaping! We are focusing on using pattern papers and there lots of great ones out right now!  Of course, I used the newest ones from Lawn Fawn and you can pick these papers up along with so many other awesome finds from our sponsor Simon Says Stamp!  They are wonderful to give the winner a $25 gift certificate to their store!

Here is my card that I made and I didn't do any stamping!  I used pattern papers from LF's Snow Day 6x6 paper pad.  To create the layers, I used the Large Stitched Rectangles Stackables dies - I love these!!  I am obsessed frame dies right now!

For my sentiment - I used this adorable "Merry" wood veneer - and these are exclusive to Simon Says Stamp.  They are in Kristina Werner's handwriting!  LOVE! To add a bit of something extra ( not that it really needs it) and added some of Wink of Stella glitter pen :)

I hope this has inspired you to get out your pattern papers!  I know for me - I need to use them more often instead of hanging on to them!  We buy these things to use!! I have to keep reminding myself of that sometimes - LOL!  Thank you all for stopping by today!!  Hope you have a great week!!

Hello everyone! So hard to believe we are winding down September, and heading into October! Crazy!! Today, the Lawnscaping Facebook Inspiration Team is bringing you more inspiration, and we are inspired by Yellows and Browns.  This awesome hop is sponsored by the awesome Spectrum Noir.  You should have found your way to me by the awesome Isha!

For my card, I pulled out some papers from Lawn Fawn's Sweater Weather 6x6 pad.  One of my favorites for sure!  I die cut both pieces of pattern papers I chose from the Large Stitched Rectangle Stackables dies!  Love these too!  They make a card quick and simple!  I stamped out my sunflower from Our Friendship Grows, and colored my flowers using some yellows and browns, with a 'dash' of orange to bring it all together.  Once I was done coloring my flower, I die cut it out using the coordinating die, and added some shimmer using the Wink of Stella brush marker ( I am addicted). Then, I stamped out my sentiment with Memento Rich Cocoa ink, and cut it down to fit on my card and popped it up with foam adhesive!
OK - time to send you off to Lenny! I am sure she has something awesome for you to feast your eyes on!!

LSC #90 Critters Galore

Helllloooo :)  Wow!  And, here we find our selves with a new challenge for Lawnscaping!  Crazy, huh?!  Well, I know you all are gonna love the new challenge...we are getting Critter Crazy.  Lawn Fawn is known for their Critters, because they are just so darn cute!  So, it is time to grab your Critters sets and make a fun project with them.

So, here is my card :)

I used three Lawn Fawn sets for this card.  I used '#Awesome', 'Critters in the Savannah' and 'Gnome Sweet Gnome'.  I first die cut the frame from '#Awesome' from some PTI Stampers Select White CS, and stamped giraffe and lion with some Tuxedo Black Memento Ink.  I, then stamped the images again onto some masking paper, and masked them off, so I could add a blue sky using some Broken China Distress Ink.  Once I was done inking, I removed my masks, and then colored them in with some Copics.  I, then added the two birdies from 'Gnome Sweet Gnome' and also colored them in with Copics.  I used the same Red Copic Marker to color in one of the birdies to color my outside frame.  Then, I die cut a piece of patterned paper from an older Simple Stories paper pad, and some Island Blue CS using the scallop frames from Mama Elephant. Before adhering everything together I stamped my sentiment from '#Awesome' on my Island Blue piece in Versa Fine Onyx Black ink.  I then adhered my frame onto my pattern paper, added some foam adhesive on the back, and then adhered that piece onto the Island Blue piece, and then onto my white card base.

This fun challenge is sponsored by Lawn Fawn.  They are far my favorite stamp company!  So - be sure to link up your project for your chance to win for a $25 GC!
Thanks so much for stopping by today!

Lawnscaping Challenge #89 One Layer

And, so here we are!  The 1st of September!  My, my time is scootin' along fast!  I am back to share with you my card for the latest Lawnscaping Challenge!  We are challenging you to make a one layer creation!!

Before I get into my card, I want to let you all know that we are sponsored by Simon Says Stamp!  And, just in time for their fun month long Stamptember event!!  Whoo hoo!!  You could be a winner of a $25 dollar gift certificate!

So, I wanted to ink up some of my new stamps of Lawn Fawn's release since I received them last week!  One of those I was dying to ink up was Argyle Backdrops!  This will be one of those I will go to again and again!  I inked it up using Hero Arts Shadow inks in Green Hills and Tide Pool.  Once I was done with my background, I took the large speech bubble die from the Large Stitched Journaling Card die set and die cut in the middle of my card.  Then I stamped the 'You're Awesome' sentiment from So Much to Say stamp set in MFT  Hybrid Black Licorice ink.  I added some finishing touches to my card by stamping a few stars, adding a faux stitching around the speech bubble to make it stand out more, and of course a little shimmer to my stars using my Wink of Stella glitter marker.  I also rounded the corners with my We R Memory Keepers Corner Chomper using the 3/8" round.

I hope you are able to join us for this fun new challenge!! Can't wait to see the gallery on this one!!  And, be sure to check back on with Lawnscaping on our Facebook page as the Inspiration Team will be there to give you more inspiration along the way!

See you soon!

Lawnscaping FIT August Blog Hop

It is the end of August!!  OH. MY. WORD!  That is craziness isn't it!?  Hello, everyone!  Welcome to another blog hop featuring the Lawnscaping Facebook Inspiration Team aka the FIT team :)

This hop is sponsored by the fabulous Spectrum Noir!!

You should have found your way to me by the uber talented Isha!  I am sure she had something fabulous to feast your eyes on!

For my card - I went a simple route.  I was thinking ombre all the way!

This month we are inspired by Warm Grays and Pinks - so I took a few of the warm gray markers and colored from lightest to darkest on my white card stock.  This is pretty much a one layer card minus my sentiment :)  After getting the grays down I took the Chevron Backdrop stamp set and stamped the thicker of the chevron stamps in Memento Luxe Pigment inks in Rose Bud, Love Letter and Lilac Posies.  For something "extra" to my chevrons I just added a stitched detail with my Memento Tuxedo Black marker.  For my sentiment I stamped the 'Thinking of You' speech bubble from Chit Chat, and inked that up in the Lilac Posies and Love Letter inks again, and then die cut it out using the coordinating die and of course it screamed " I need shimmer" so I used my clear Wink of Stella to do just that!  To finish off the card I rounded the corners with my We R Memory Keepers Corner Chomper with the 3/8" setting.

It wouldn't take no time at all to whip up a few of these to keep on hand :)  Well, its time for me to send you off on the next stop...my girl Lenny!  Be sure to leave comment love along the way for a chance to win some of these awesome Spectrum Noir Markers!!

See you soon!

PPP Cutting Edge Blog Hop

OK - so I am doing a little catching up on my crafting!  This is the first full day I have had the chance to dedicate to crafting in 3 weeks!  I've missed it...
So, I wanted to participate in the PPP Cutting Edge Blog Hop.  I also did a video on how I made this card coming soon to my blog - once it goes live I will add it to this post.
I recently purchased the Stitched Film Strip Die - it was a die I really didn't have in my die collection - so many possibilities with this cute die.

For my card I inked up a couple of Stamps of Life stamp sets that I had that hasn't seen ink yet - Popcorn2stamp and TV2stamp.  These cute stamps also have coordinating dies to match!  You know me...love those coordinating dies!  I inked up the popcorn bag in Memento Luxe Love Letter, and the 'POP' sentiment in MFT Black Licorice and Memento Dandelion inks.  I die cut a few pieces of True Black CS from PTI from the Stitched Film Strip Die, because I didn't know exactly how my design would turn out.  So - that is when I used the 'News Flash' sentiment and stamped it 3 times within the die cut and then added my popcorn and popcorn bag.  I think it turned out pretty cute.  I also used one of the die cuts inside of my card as well!

Thanks so much for stopping by my blog!!  And, once the video for this card goes live I will share it as well!! Also, thank you to Paulina and her line up of sponsors for the chance to show off our creations during this blog hop!!
