Lawnscaping Challenge #99: Clean and Simple

Hi everyone!!  Gosh - I simply can't believe we are introducing a new challenge already....time is flyin!!  So - its all about being Clean and Simple for this challenge!  And, we are happy to have our sponsor Ellen Hutson!!

Clean and Simple cards are not my strong suit, I'll be honest, but that is why it is called Lawnscaping CHALLEGE - to challenge us...even us on the design teams :)

I used the set from Lawn Fawn called #Awesome for my card.  I am obsessed with Instagram, and so I wanted to make something with this cute little "Instagram-esk" camera.  I simply stamped it out in HA Cup O' Joe ink and carefully colored it in with Copics and this ink is not usually friendly with Copics.  I cut it out with the coordinating die and set it aside as I did a little more stamping on my white card base.  I stamped the star background from Teeny Tiny Backdrops with Soft Vanilla ink from HA and then stamped my sentiment from the same stamp set in Memento Espresso Truffle ink.  I added some foam dimensionals to my camera and popped up my card and finished the card off by using my Corner Chomper and I rounded the edges.

I hope you are able to make a clean and simple project and ink it up for your chance to win a $25 gift certificate from Ellen Hutson!!

See you soon!!

LSC #90 Critters Galore

Helllloooo :)  Wow!  And, here we find our selves with a new challenge for Lawnscaping!  Crazy, huh?!  Well, I know you all are gonna love the new challenge...we are getting Critter Crazy.  Lawn Fawn is known for their Critters, because they are just so darn cute!  So, it is time to grab your Critters sets and make a fun project with them.

So, here is my card :)

I used three Lawn Fawn sets for this card.  I used '#Awesome', 'Critters in the Savannah' and 'Gnome Sweet Gnome'.  I first die cut the frame from '#Awesome' from some PTI Stampers Select White CS, and stamped giraffe and lion with some Tuxedo Black Memento Ink.  I, then stamped the images again onto some masking paper, and masked them off, so I could add a blue sky using some Broken China Distress Ink.  Once I was done inking, I removed my masks, and then colored them in with some Copics.  I, then added the two birdies from 'Gnome Sweet Gnome' and also colored them in with Copics.  I used the same Red Copic Marker to color in one of the birdies to color my outside frame.  Then, I die cut a piece of patterned paper from an older Simple Stories paper pad, and some Island Blue CS using the scallop frames from Mama Elephant. Before adhering everything together I stamped my sentiment from '#Awesome' on my Island Blue piece in Versa Fine Onyx Black ink.  I then adhered my frame onto my pattern paper, added some foam adhesive on the back, and then adhered that piece onto the Island Blue piece, and then onto my white card base.

This fun challenge is sponsored by Lawn Fawn.  They are far my favorite stamp company!  So - be sure to link up your project for your chance to win for a $25 GC!
Thanks so much for stopping by today!

LSC# 75 Dots & Hearts

Welcome back to a new challenge over at Lawnscaping!  I think a lot of us like heart or polka dots or both!  So - in this challenge you get to use one or both in your project!!

Here is what I came up with!

I used both in my card!  I just love these birds and thought they particularly would be a cute addition because their wings look like hearts.  I also used the heart strip die that comes with the Stitched Journaling Card die, and added some pattern papers from the new 6x6 pad Hello Sunshine!

This month is an exciting one as the new releases are going to be available at Simon Says Stamp!  And - they are our wonderful sponsor for this challenge!!!

Here is a closer look at my love birds :)

I hope to see all of your wonderful ideas on how to use heart and dots!!  See you over at Lawnscaping!
