A Rainy Day Challenge - Lily Pad Cards/SSS

Hi Friends - **This is my second post today - **

I'm getting all of my challenge submissions done today - and this time I am back with the latest SSS challenge over at Lily Pad Cards.  Make a card representing rain, or rain related.  I got out my "Ain't Love Grand" hostess set from SU!.  It has this cute umbrella image in it.  I wanted to do a emboss resist technique, and I did that with the water drop from the Lawn Fawn set " Plus One".  The Distress Inks I used were Tumbled Glass, and Chipped Sapphire.

My sentiment also comes from Lawn Fawn - but from the set " On the Mend".  You can't really tell in the photo, but I added some glaze gel pen to the water puddles.  I finished off the card with some Twinery Twine.  If I was feeling down or blue - getting this card would perk up my spirits for sure.  :o)

Simon Says Stamp Presents a Product Challenge:Lilly Pad Cards

I'm back!!  Those of you in the States - I hope you all had a nice Thanksgiving, and shopped till your hearts content!!  I am back to share with all of you my entry for the latest challenge over at Lily Pad Cards.  All you have to do is make a card featuring buttons.  I love buttons, and I love the sponsor, Simon Says Stamp.  I wanted to make a bright and cheerful card, but rather simple.  I used the cute flower from the stamp set called "Button Buddies" from SU!.  I want to point out, I didn't do that on purpose - :)

I stamped my flowers on Kraft card stock, and added some buttons from PTI, and baker's twine from The Twinery.  The leaves were punched from a Martha Stewart leaf punch, and the patterned paper comes from Echo Park "Holly Jolly Christmas" 6 x 6 pad.  My sentiment comes from Paper Smooches, and I did some paper piercing with my mat stack from SU!.   Hope you all enjoy the simplicity, and the colors as I do.

See you soon!!

Lawn Fawn Christmas!

Hi Crafters!!
I wanted to share this Sunday evening a card I am submitting into Vicky's giveaway from Clips- N - Cuts, and Lily Pad Cards!  I love watching her videos every Sunday, and she is one of many that I aspire to!!  She is doing a giveaway on her blog for a SSS gift certificate.  She did a "Spotlight on: Lawn Fawn series, and she has given her readers an opportunity to create based on her cards for inspiration.  Below is my card.  I used several different LF stamp sets: Critters in the Forest, Pa-rum-pa-pum-pum, Ornate Ornaments, and Bannerific.  I used a lot of different patterned papers on this card, and it most definitely challenged me!!  I liked out it turned out, and hope Vicky likes it too!!

Even though this card was time consuming, I enjoyed my creation as it went along!!  Thank you Vicky for giving us inspiration, and a chance to win a great prize!!  Happy Thanksgiving everyone!!

Bling Challenge Card # 3

I'm back with card # 3 for the Lily Pad Cards Bling Challenge.  If you would like to see the other two cards, please check out my previous two posts.  The final card is a simple Christmas tree.  It features some Flower Soft, and "Candi".  I love this stuff - especially if you have to mail a card out and want to add the look of a brad to your project - these are lighter, and less bulky.

Thanks for visiting!!!!

Bling Challenge - Card # 2

Back with my second card - the "bling" for this card is represented in the paper which is called Shimmerz Sheets, and the beautiful mosaic tiles.  The embossing just sets off this beautiful paper.

This card wold be one that would be easy to mass produce for sure!!  OK!!  Onto my third and final submission for this challenge.

Lily Pad Cards : May Arts presents: Ribbon Challenge

Hi all!  Two cards in one day!!  The creative juices must be flowing!  This time I am back to share my card I made for the Ribbon Challenge over at Lily Pad Cards.  This is my first time entering into their monthly challenge, and I was up for the task.  Simply - you have to make a card using ribbon.  Instead of just wrapping ribbon around a card, and tying a pretty bow, I wanted to do something a little different.  I traced my butterfly die cut onto a piece of white card stock, and then cut that out so I would have a frame of sorts.  Then I had some very colorful self adhesive ribbon, and wanted to give my butterfly a rainbow effect.  After getting my ribbon all down the way I wanted it ( which took longer then what you may think), I took my frame and embossed it with one of my cuttlebug folders.  I then took some black soot Distress Ink, and gave my frame a "frame" and brought out some of the embossing.  I took a piece of twine and twisted it to give the butterfly more of a dimensional body, added some liquid pearls and stamped my "Thinking of you" sentiment.  I wanted my butterfly to be my focal point without using too much color to the rest of the card.

I'm liking these challenges.  They are fun, and really caused my brain to stretch its creativity.  Wish me luck!!

CAS-ual Friday Challenge: Tic Tac Toe

Hi all!!  I apologize that it has been a week since I posted last - been very busy.  Today, I wanted to post my next submission for the newest challenge over at the CAS-ual Friday Challenge blog.  This time we get to play Tic Tac Toe.  This is a fun one to partake in!  I decided to do emboss, felt, and twine.  So - I had some felt pieces I wanted to use by Maya Road.  I wrapped some hot pink/white twine for some pop, and heat embossed on some card stock vellum, my sentiment from Stampin' Up - "If nothing ever changed, there would be no butterflies".  I love the bright and bold colors of how it turned out - and hopefully the Girl Fridays over at the blog will think the same thing.

My next challenge is entering into the Ribbon Challenge over at Lily Pad Cards.  Speaking of Lily Pad Cards, one of the designers, and co-owners -  Vicky Papaioannou, is following my blog!!  I am so stoked and happy that she decided to become a follower!!  Vicky, if you are reading this - I am honored - and thank you so much for following lil ole' me!!  You are wonderful!

Ok ladies and gents - I'll be back with another card creation soon!!
