MFT Sketch Challenge #437 | Guest Designer

Hi Friends!  I am over the moon excited to be the Guest Designer for May 2019 for the Weekly Sketch Challenge for My Favorite Things!  Every Wednesday during the month of May, I will be sharing with you my take of each sketch.

For this week's new sketch #437 - I went very colorful and thought having the different sized circle elements would be awesome in a rainbow theme!

I used the new Sweet Besties stamp set and matching Die-namics for my card.  I loved the whimsical look to these girls, and thought they would pair nicely with my rainbow circles in the background.  I colored my images with Copic markers.  For the circles, I took some of my favorite colors of distress inks to do my rainbow circles that I created using my own DIY stencil made from acetate.  I just simply die cut some circles using different sizes of circle dies, and added my colors in a rainbow pattern and overlapping my colors to get a good blend.

Once I was happy with the inked panel, I die cut my main panel with my favorite Blueprints 27 scalloped frame.   I created my sentiment from the same Besties stamp set and used the new skinny strips die-namics to die cut my sentiment.  It creates a perfect sized sentiment and it doesn't take up too much space on your card design.  After adding my besties to my card by popping them up with foam adhesive onto my white A2 sized card base, my card is complete!!  Another fun sketch to stretch our creativity!!  Hope you are able to play along!!  Once again, thank you to the MFT team for having me guest design this month!!

Lawn Fawnatics #25 Color Inspiration Challenge

Hi friends!! I am back with another entry for the latest Lawn Fawnatics Challenge, and it is my favorite!  RAINBOW!  I was excited to play!

I wanted to create a simple in design card, but feature that rainbow goodness!  So, I stamped out down my white card stock panel the flower border image from Simply Celebrate.  Once I stamped them in Copic friendly black ink, I colored them in with my Copic Markers.

Once they were colored in, I added the Let's Celebrate sentiment which is from the same stamp set.  I die cut my main panel down using the Scalloped Rectangle Stackables dies, and then mounted it onto a black A2 card base popped up with foam tape.

For some final touches, I added some shimmer pen, and some white pen accents to really make the flowers pop.  Simple, but colorful!  My favorite!

Thanks for stopping by!

Rainbow Sentiment Die Cut Background | No Stamping | MFT

Hi My friends!  Today I am sharing a card featuring all die cuts and creating a background using the "Hello" die from My Favorite Things as well as their 6x6 paper pad called Roses All Over.  I thought it would be fun and different to create a card using all die cuts as a background.  And, I love this new 6x6 paper pad!

Who doesn't love a rainbow themed card?!  I love anything rainbow...makes me happy.
I started my die cutting a piece of smooth white card stock from one of my favorite dies from Right At Home, and I took several pieces of the Roses All Over paper and created 10 hello die cuts, 10 to be exact.

I adhered them down with a glue pen and rotated each one for a fun pattern!  Once I had them all adhered, I took the same frame die from RAH, and ran my focal panel through my die cut machine to complete the stitched edge and to also help flatten all the die cuts to my white card stock piece.

For my additional sentiment, I die cut a piece of silver sparkle card stock using the Friend Script die from Mama Elephant, and adhered it to a black pierced dot detail banner die cut, and popped it up with some foam adhesive to some dimension.

For all the supplies used, I have them listed below as well as the video tutorial!  Thank you all for stopping by today!! See you soon!
