Hi! I'm back with Card 8 in my HCS for 2016! I hope you've enjoyed the series so far! Today I wanted to create this fun wreath with lights! I used another set from Sunny Studio stamps, and a wreath of leaves from Hero Arts
I love how fun these lights are, and you could do many looks with them! I used all Lawn Fawn inks as they have fun and bright colors!
As always all the supplies I use in each tutorial are listed and linked below!! Today's post is short and sweet, so if you'd like to see how this one came together, I invite you to watch the video below!
Hello, and welcome to card #2 in my Holiday Card Series for 2016. Today I am playing with the lovely set from Sunny Studio Stamps called Holiday Style. To me, this is a must have for the season! So many great elements to great fun and elegant Holiday/Christmas cards.
I used all Lawn Fawn inks on my card as I love how they stamp, and I love the colors! I started off my stamping my branch from the set onto a piece of smooth white card stock, and used my Misti Stamping tool for precise placement of my image. I love this tool and it has helped me a lot creating different cards.
I used two green from Lawn Fawn - Jalapeno and Noble Fir. Once I was happy with the look of my branches, I moved onto the sentiment, which is from the same stamp set, and I inked it up with Lobster ink. It is one of my favorite reds!
Then, I moved onto stamping out my jingle bell. This jingle bell is so cool once you put all of the stages together. It looks so realistic!! I used 2 gray inks and one black for this - Manatee, Hippo, and Black Licorice.
Then. I stamped out my bow, and used three reds - Guava, Lobster and Chili Pepper.
I did use the matching dies to die cut these images as I wanted to create a bit of dimension to this card. I glued down the "hook" and then added foam tape to the jingle bell and the bow and adhered to my panel.
Then, it was time to add my panel to my red scalloped frame which was die cut using the Lawn Fawn Scalloped Rectangle dies. Then, I adhered that to my white card base. I decided to go a head and stamp out a sentiment on the inside.
And, for a final touch I added some shimmer to my bow using the Wink of Stella clear shimmer pen.
I love the classic look of this card!! I hope you do too! I have the products I used linked below and also the How To: Video :)
Happy Sunday!! I took a little blogging break, but I am back to share a new card tutorial with all of you! Today, I wanted to play with Sunny Studio and their adorable set called Mug Hugs. I was wanted to play with this To-Go cup! It screamed to be paper pieced!
So, that is what I did, I took a piece of water color card stock, and placed my card stock in my MISTI stamping tool, and inked up these cups, three times to make sure I got a crisp impression.
Then, I made masks for all three cups using some full adhesive post it notes, and covered them up to prepare them for some ink blending. I wanted a soft back ground, so I used Tumbled Glass Distress Ink, and my Ink blending tool. Once I was happy with my background, I spritzed some water from my Distress Sprayer to create that fun distress look.
I chose three different pattern papers to paper piece my sleeves on my cup and all three patterns came from a different Lawn Fawn 6x6 paper pad.
I did color in my cups with some gray markers and I gave them some shadows and also used a Cool Gray marker for the lid. I need to create some "grounding" for my cups, so I used one of the Stitched Scalloped Edge dies from Lawn Fawn, and I die cut some scrap card stock, and created this additional decorative element to my card design.
My sentiment comes from the same stamp set, and I added some shimmer using my Wink of Stella pen for a final touch. The full video tutorial is below, if you like to see how this card came together! Thanks for stopping by today and have a nice rest of your weekend!
